If you’ve been on the Playstore searching for games, you’d know that there are literally thousands upon thousands of games to choose from.

Here are our top picks for the best two player games on Android.

Fun fact: There are approximately 677,560 games available on the Google Playstore, so now let’s take a look at the best out of the bunch for two players.

1. DUAL!

Dual! is possibly one of the best two player games out there. The gameplay is simple and straightforward. You and your gaming buddy need to download and install the game on your Android devices. Once installed the game allows users to either connect by Bluetooth or WiFi, however, the Bluetooth feature is still in beta and may not work for you.

We’d recommend you connect to the same WiFi network or set-up a hotspot. Load the game up on both devices and enjoy shooting projectiles from one device to another. The game graphics are also great and generally, the game feels fluid and bug-free.

If you’ve got a couple of minutes to spare, what are you waiting for? Grab your gaming bud and get glued to the game either battling each other or working together to defeat the enemies.

2. Table Tennis Touch

Table Tennis Touch offers the best Ping Pong experience on smartphones hands-down. If you’ve ever played Table Tennis, you’d know how enjoyable the game actually is and now you get the opportunity to play the game on your smartphone as well.

The game offers several different modes such as Career, Mini-game fun, and Multiplayer mode too. This means you’d not get easily irked while playing the game as there are several different ways to play. While on the multiplayer mode you have the ability to play against your friends at any time. This game definitely deserves to be downloaded if you’re a Table Tennis fan.

3. Funny Soccer

Funny Soccer unapologetically has old school 8-bit style graphics which is what makes the game even more fun to play with. Funny Soccer is probably one of the most simple games out there.

You don’t even need two devices to play the two player game as all you need is to load the game on your device and call your friend over to have a soccer match like no other. Simply tapping your side of the team button will make the character jump about and kick the ball to the other side to score a goal as your 2nd player tries to do the same.

While this may seem odd right now until you try the game you’d never really know how addictive this game actually is. The game isn’t meant to give your brain a workout, it’s actually meant to be a fun and quick to play game.

4. Ultimate Tennis

Here’s a game based on an outdoor sport. We know nowadays it’s hard to find time to go out into the real world and play a sport, everyone’s busy and could barely find 30 minutes to spare which of course isn’t enough to go out and play a sport like Lawn Tennis.

Ultimate Tennis has great graphics and the game also is built with good physics in mind. The gameplay is almost as close as you’d get to play Tennis in real life. In the game, you can dash, smash and dive just like in real life and go head to head with your friends as well with the games multiplayer mode.

Ultimate Tennis also allows you to tweak and customize your player’s equipment and skills to the smallest detail.

5. Glow Hockey 2

Admit it, Air Hockey is one of the best past-time games ever. We’ve all had a swing at the game once in our life at least and if you’ve never had the chance to play Air Hockey, now’s the time to experience the game on your smartphone.

Glow Hockey 2 offers a cool and simple way to play. Just like the Funny Soccer title we’ve mentioned above Glow Hockey 2 also offers a two player mode on the same device. While you use one portion of the screen, get your friend to stand over at the other end of the device and have a go at the game. The one who manages to land the puck in the goal the most times wins.

It’s a quick and fun game for those times when you’d like to be competitive. The best part is that no internet connect is required to play the game.

6. Fling Fighters

Fling Fighters is easily one of the most fun games to play with your mates. As the name suggests you can dual your friends by flinging items at them to cause damage while also trying to jump around trying to dodge incoming attacks and traps from your foe.

The game offers an online multiplayer mode as well as a local multiplayer mode to challenge your friends offline. Fling Fighters offers 40 different characters to choose from, therefore, you’d have the ability to try out new characters and abilities while you battle it out with your friends.

7. Ludo King

So, here’s a game that we’ve probably all played in our childhood. Ludo is one of the best board games available and could be played by kids and adults alike.

While the game offers everything you’d expect from a Ludo board game, there are several cool features added too such as animated emoji’s to show your frustration, love, or other emotions to your opponent while playing against them.

8. Badminton League

Here’s another outdoor sport based game for you and your friend to try out. Badminton is fun to play and we know there’s a possibility you’ve at least played it once.

Badminton League offers a great 1 vs 1 online mode or you could create your own tournament along with your friends. The graphics and physics of the game are great while offering a dynamic gameplay. The controls are a bit gimmicky but once you get the hang of it you’d be ready to smash the shuttlecock left right and centre within no time.

9. MORTAL KOMBAT X

If you’ve visited an arcade gaming centre in your life, you’ve definitely played MORTAL KOMBAT at least once. What’s even more exciting is that MORTAL KOMBAT is now available to play on your Android smartphone too. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration if we said a whole generation of gamers has probably played MORTAL KOMBAT more than once.

MORTAL KOMBAT X also brings forward a 1v1 battle mode for going head to head with your friends.

10. Real Boxing

Real Boxing offers the best boxing experience on your smartphone. The graphics are also excellent and definitely one of the higher-end graphics games on the list.

The game has to basic modes career mode or multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode allows you to go up against other players around the world or let you settle it with your friend on who’s the better boxer without having to get yourselves all black and blue.

Real Boxing also has an arcade-style mode where the controls and camera angle are much like what you’d find on an arcade gaming machine.

11. Basketball Stars

If you love sport based games, Basketball Stars has got to be a game you try out. It offers a 1v1 multiplayer mode for you to dribble, shoot, score, and win against other players around the world.

Basketball Stars also lets you change the style of your character by selecting different outfits and items. The gameplay is simple, score more points than your opponent to win the game. The game offers decent graphics which makes it even more enjoyable to play.

12. Pocket Tanks

Pocket Tanks is easily the most interesting and fun to play strategic based games in our opinion. The game was exclusively a PC based game a couple of years ago and finally, we’ve got the chance to play the game on our Android devices. Pocket Tanks has offline as well as online gameplay modes to let you battle your friends.

The gameplay is simple, you need to destroy the enemy tank before they destroy you. There are several different weapons to choose from, all of which deal variable damage. So go ahead, melt your opponent with napalm, shoot them with the jackhammer or destroy them with the heatseeker missile.

Download: Pocket Tanks

13. Warlings: Armageddon

Much like the previous game on the list, Warlings: Armageddon also offers a PvP battle experience based on strategy. You can dual with your friends or other players across the globe.

You can connect via Bluetooth to play the game with your friends too. There are 29 different weapons to choose from including a scorching flamethrower.  The game has 10 totally destructible maps to choose from to battle your opponents on.

14. Beach Buggy Racing

A few years back Beach Buggy Racing was one of the best games you could find on the Google Play Store (APK). It still is a fun game to play with your friends, if you’ve got a knack for playing racing games. The game offers a multiplayer mode, too.

The graphics are decent and the game offers many customizations for the vehicles. There are several different characters also to unlock and choose from which all offer a different ability to perform while in game. You can make your opponents dance and swerve off the track by using the disco ball or shoot your enemy ahead of you with a barrage of carrots.

These special moves are character dependent and therefore, you need to choose your character wisely. Beach Buggy Racing also has a “split-screen multiplayer mode to race shoulder-to-shoulder with up to 4 friends on Android TV, or a TV-connected phone or tablet.”

Make Them Fall

[pb-app-box pname=’com.strikewing.GG_green’ name=’ Strike Wing: Raptor Rising’ theme=’light’ lang=’en’]

Haven’t you played ninja jump or make them jump? If yes, how about an inverse of the game? Make them fall is just that. In this game you have to control two or more stickman (upto 6, all at a time) falling down between two walls. Your aim is to make them fall without touching the obstacles by jumping from one wall to another. The most amazing part is that you can even play up to 6 jumpers and control them with your fingers (use both hands :P).

The sequel of the popular game Make Them Jump is now available! It’s called Make Them Fall.

Make all the dudes fall and jump to avoid the obstacles.

You can play with all your fingers to control up to 6 dudes, or just ask for some help to your friends!

How long can you last out?

Download it for free from Play store.

ICE

ICE is a simple strategy game, in which you are required to capture the planets with your own army/fleets. You control your army (simplistic ant-like ships) and capture the enemy areas. You can only capture the connected bases, not the non-connected ones. Playing this game on a bigger screen is more enjoyable.

Quick and addicting real-time strategy. Beautiful, not-so-simple, just awesome.

Control your army of ant-like ships. Capture connected enemy bases (remember that you can’t simply capture a non-connected base – this would be too easy!) You win when you control everything, you lose when you lose everything. Good luck!

Works really well on tablets and devices with big screens.

The game was originally designed and created during 48 hours for Ludum Dare 30.

Download it for free from Play store. It offer In-app purchase for unlocking the full game.

Best Single Player First Person Shooter (Fps) Games To Play In 2023

First Person Shooters (FPS) are one of the biggest segments of the gaming market, but many of them are almost solely focused on competitive play rather than a complete experience these days. Here we go over the best single player FPS games for you to play in 2023. Some of these games may include multiplayer modes, but unless there’s an extremely well-fleshed out single-player campaign, the game is not worthy of this list.

1. ULTRAKILL

Platform(s): PC

Subgenres: Arena Shooter, Movement Shooter, Stylish Action

ULTRAKILL is my personal favorite single-player FPS on the market right now. It has easy and intuitive movement mechanics, nostalgic PS1-style graphics, a superb soundtrack, and a bunch of fun gameplay elements lifted straight from games like Devil May Cry. At the time of writing, the game is technically in early access, but about a third is complete and available to play.

2. Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is another superb single player FPS game. Unlike other games on this list, Exodus has many very slow-paced segments, and isn’t afraid to take power completely out of the hands of the player. Metro Exodus boasts truly gorgeous graphics, especially with ray-tracing enabled on the Enhanced Edition (included by default with next-gen and PC purchases). If you want a game to really push the graphical limits of your PC and get really immersed into, Metro Exodus is a great choice.

3. Doom Eternal

Doom Eternal is the sequel to the 2024 DOOM Reboot and basically takes everything that game did and turns it up to 11. It’s a much more difficult experience but a more rewarding one once the player masters weapon switching and quick weak point targeting. There are many great set pieces and plenty of visual variety due to the galaxy-spanning narrative.

Eternal has received consistent post-launch support through the addition of Master Levels (harder remixes of existing levels), two 3-level DLC packs (The Ancient Gods), and various smaller content updates. Just recently, it even got ray-tracing and DLSS! The sheer scale and intensity of Doom Eternal is unmatched by anything else on this list. If you want a high octane single player FPS, we can’t recommend Eternal enough.

4. Black Mesa

Platform(s): PC

Subgenres: Survival Horror, Exploration/Puzzle

Black Mesa is essentially a full-blown remake of Half-Life 1, and is considered by many to be an upgrade over the original in nearly every way. The graphics are certainly better in every way and many improvements have been made to parts of the game that people previously didn’t like, especially late in the game. The reviews on this game are pretty much universally positive, and Valve liked it so much they gave the team permission to sell a remake of their game for profit.

5. Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2 is a Movement Shooter before anything else, with its focus on grappling hooks, wall-running, air-strafing, bunny-hopping, and more. There’s a lot of depth to the movement in this game, and that’s before you even start getting into the deeper gunplay and Titan (giant robot you can pilot) mechanics. The single-player campaign has a lot of huge maps to practice your movement in and surprisingly endearing characters to match. It’s no Citizen Kane, but it’s great fun.

6. Amid Evil

Platform(s): PC, Switch release TBA

Subgenres: Arena Shooter, Movement Shooter, Fantasy Game

Amid Evil is a high fantasy spin on the classic Unreal/Quake formula. That’s basically the gist of it. You get bunnyhopping, speedy base movement, many projectile weapons, and pickups. It has really well-designed arena shooter stuff with great music and a unique retro aesthetic. You can also enable ray-tracing and DLSS to take that retro aesthetic and turn it into something undeniably modern.

7. Dusk

Platform(s): PC, Switch release 2023

Subgenres: Arena Shooter, Movement Shooter, Horror

Dusk is also a spin on classic arena shooters but leans much closer to Doom than to Quake or Unreal. The player is rarely ever not in power, but the game isn’t afraid to challenge you, and the atmosphere actually can be quite creepy and oppressive at times. Like with over arena shooters, there’s a strong focus on movement here as well, with a high skill ceiling for improvement.

If you’re itching for more retro-styled shooters and like horror aesthetics, Dusk will definitely be a good fit for you.

8. Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Last but certainly not least on this list is Halo: The Master Chief Collection. This is a collection of six Halo games, starting from the original and ending at Halo 4. All of the games have an optional mode where you can see remastered graphics, and the MCC supports cross-platform play between Xbox and PC.

Halo is renowned for its sci-fi story and setting, and the gameplay is actually quite fun, too, especially if you’re a PC player who’s been missing out on the series. It may be at the bottom of this list, but that’s really because Halo needs the least introduction of any of our entries. If you want to get into Halo, there’s never been an opportunity better than the Master Chief Collection.

Parting Words

Ultrakill and Doom Eternal are our top picks of the best single player FPS games for those looking for a high-octane FPS experience. If you want something more focused on setting a mood and immersing the player, Metro Exodus and Black Mesa are our primary recommendations.

Comment below and let us know: are you playing any of these or think something else deserves a spot on the list more?

With many options available, puzzle games are the perfect solution for those seeking a mental challenge and a break from the mundane. Whether you’re a fan of classic jigsaw puzzles or prefer mind-bending logic games, there’s something out there for everyone.

In this article, we’ll dive into the best free puzzle games for Windows that will test your problem-solving skills and provide endless hours of entertainment.

So, get ready to exercise your brain and embark on a journey of fun and excitement with these top puzzle games!

Flow Free is a mesmerizing puzzle game that combines simplicity and sophistication to create a captivating experience.

The game’s concept is easy to understand – connect matching colors with a pipe without crossing other pipes. However, each level’s gameplay becomes progressively challenging, forcing you to think ahead and strategize to complete the puzzles.

Flow Free’s colorful and vibrant graphics will capture your attention and keep you hooked for hours. As you connect them, the fluid animations of the pipes add to the game’s appeal and make the gameplay even more satisfying.

The sound effects are also a treat to the ears, providing a delightful experience. So if you want your brain to release excessive dopamine in stressful days, then don’t forget to consider Flow Free.

Bejeweled 3 is a jewel of a puzzle game that has captivated players for years with its addictive gameplay and colorful gems.

The game’s objective is simple – swap adjacent gems to create chains of three or more of the same color, causing them to disappear and allowing more gems to fall from above. But what sets Bejeweled 3 apart is its various game modes, each with unique challenges and rewards.

The classic mode offers a game of matching gems, while the lightning mode requires you to make matches as fast as possible to stay ahead of a rapidly descending ceiling.

The poker mode is a fun twist on the game, where you try to create poker hands by matching gems with specific patterns.

Cut the Rope is a charming and unique puzzle game that is fun and challenging. The game’s protagonist is a little creature named Om Nom, who loves candy and needs your help to get it.

The game aims to cut ropes to allow the candy to fall into Om Nom’s mouth while avoiding various obstacles.

The game’s graphics and sound effects are delightful and add to the game’s overall charm. Om Nom’s adorable expressions and playful animations will make you smile, while the sound effects of the candy falling and the ropes being cut are satisfying and satisfying.

As you progress through the game, the puzzles become increasingly complex and require more strategic thinking.

You must navigate through different levels with unique challenges and obstacles to feed Om Nom all the candy he desires.

Looking for a fun and challenging way to pass the time? Look no further than this website, where you can find thousands of online jigsaw puzzles for free!

With images ranging from serene nature scenes to cute animals, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The gameplay is simple but satisfying – just drag and drop the puzzle pieces into place to create a complete image.

And if you’re feeling creative, you can even use Im, a puzzle jigsaw puzzle maker, to turn any image you like into a puzzle.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. This website is constantly updated with new puzzles, thanks to a dedicated community of uploaders who share their creations.

And with featured puzzles like a stunning Matterhorn reflection, a beautiful piano, or a regal blue tiger in front of the Eiffel Tower, there’s always something new to discover. But there’s more to this website than just fun and games.

Studies have shown that playing jigsaw puzzles can help improve cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills, making it a win-win for players looking to challenge their minds.

World of Goo is a physics-based puzzle game that offers a unique and creative experience. While the game’s objective is to get goo balls to a pipe, the game is more than just a simple puzzle game.

One aspect of World of Goo that many players may not know is that the game was developed by only two people – Kyle Gabler and Ron Carmel.

They created and released the game independently, making it a testament to the power of independent game development.

Another interesting aspect of World of Goo is the level design. Each level is designed to be unique and challenging, with various obstacles and puzzles to solve.

The levels are set in different environments, each with unique physics and challenges. For example, one level takes place on a windy cliff, while another takes place in the depths of a dark cave.

2048 is a deceptively simple puzzle game that has become a global phenomenon since its release in 2014. The game aims to combine numbered tiles on a 4×4 grid until you reach the elusive 2048 tile.

But don’t be fooled by its apparent simplicity – 2048 requires strategy, quick thinking, and a bit of luck to master.

One interesting fact about 2048 is that it was created by a single developer, a 19-year-old Italian programmer named Gabriele Cirulli.

Cirulli designed the game in just two days as a weekend project, but it quickly went viral and has since been played by millions worldwide.

Another lesser-known fact about 2048 is that it’s not actually the game’s original version. The concept of combining tiles to create more significant numbers was first introduced in a game called Threes!, which was released a month before 2048.

However, 2048’s more straightforward design and availability on more platforms made it more accessible to a broader audience.

Best 3Ds Games 2023: Top Nintendo Games For Your Ds

Pokémon Sun and Moon

Although we’re keen for a Pokémon game on the Switch, the franchise has always been about the traditional handheld console.

In short, we love Pokemon Sun and Moon. Partly because it solved some of the issues we’ve had with previous games, we’re talking little things like HMs and having the PokéMart inside the PokéCenter.

As usual, the game is great for players of all ages and we enjoy the way the game is split into different islands, varied tials and the awesome new Alola versions of Pokémon such as Vulpix, Sandshrew and Raichu.

There are plenty of new features including the Poké Finder, Z Moves, Battle Royale, Poké Ride, Hyper Training, Poké Polago and the Rotem Pokédex.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes

Ever Oasis

New Super Mario Bros. 2

This is the second game specifically developed for the 3DS and 2DS with the classic side-scrolling style. Who knows where number 3 is in the series but this version is worth owning.

We’re not sure we could ever get bored of side-scrolling Mario games and this has plenty to keep you entertained with, starting with over 80 levels. You get the usual amount of secret elements to uncover.

The game is largely about the coins as you can collect a whopping one million. The Gold Flower power-up means you can shoot gold fireballs at enemies and blocks turning them into coins. You can also turn 10-Coin clocks into special Gold Blocks, which Mario’s can wear head to collect coins until the power-up runs out.

It’s all classic Mario fun.

Hey Pikmin!

Best Prices Today:

The cute little creatures that are Pikmin have been around for over a decade now but have finally made their way onto the DS.

Hey Pikmin! is the first title in the series to be portable and sees the return of Captain Olimar who, once again, needs help repairing his spaceship.

It might not be a flawless game but you’ll still have fun and it’s a good choice for younger players. The game is a sidescrolling platformer you can play casually one level at a time.

The most fun is had when flinging Pikmin at enemies using the touchscreen but you’ll also need them to solve the puzzles in each level. Different colour Pikmin have different skills like jumping higher while others are immune to fire.

Mario Golf World Tour

Mario Golf games have been great fun since the original on the Game Boy and N64 and we can recommend World Tour.

Basically Nintendo injects the kind of fun into golf that means you don’t need to be interested in the sport to enjoy playing. You certainly won’t get bored with over 200 hole across more than 15 courses.

World Tour might not have all the features of previous titles but it introduces a number of new features. These include gyroscope support, online multiplayer and downloadable content like N64 courses.

We particularly like Item Shots, where different items can do all sorts to your shot like ignore weather, avoid hazards and collect coins.

Monster Hunter Generations

Monster Hunter Generations is without doubt the best in the series. It maintains the familiar quest-based gameplay, with progressively more tricky creatures to kill or capture. You’ll need to work on your weapon trees, armour sets, collect materials and more.

As well as the same 14 weapon types, there are four Hunting Arts to try, and each works differently with each weapon type, so you’re never going to get bored of going into battle. The new Prowler mode means you can actually play as your Felyne.

In addition to new monsters, there are now Deviant Monsters to conquer too, some of which are mutated and more powerful forms of creatures from previous games.

Monster Hunter is awesome if you’re a solo player, but even more so if you group with up to four players.

Super Mario Maker 3DS

This one is a port from the Wii U but well worth getting for the DS, especially if you haven’t played the console version.

Without even making your own courses, there are 100 Nintendo designed courses and you’ll get challenged in various ways like attempting to complete a level without letting go of right to make Mario run.

When it comes to creating your own you get all the tools from the Wii U version (aside from the Mystery Mushroom and the linked Mario costumes) and you can make a course as simple or as complex as you like. If you like you can share your masterpiece with the world and also take on other players’ homemade levels.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

We love a good virtual brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is certainly that. If you like fighting games then this is a must for your DS collection.

In simple terms, the game is a chaotic fight between characters from all over the Nintendo universe including Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby and more. You can customise aspects to suit your play style and fight against AI or friends via local or internet methods.

There are plenty of levels, support for amiibo and an exclusive Smash Run mode which gives up to four players five minutes to fight solo through a huge battlefield to see who can get the furthest.

Animal Crossing New Leaf

Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

There might be a new Professor Layton game coming in July but that doesn’t make this game any less appealing.

As the name suggests this is about more than just the Professor and when Espella is kidnapped, both Layton and Wright end up in Labyrinthia. The professor and attorney must combine forces to save her.

The game combines the puzzles you’d expect but adds in the ability to defend Espella in court. You must alternate between the play styles and there are hint coins to find which will help you out. It’s another cracker from the franchise.

Kirby: Planet Robobot

Our list of best 3DS games wouldn’t be complete without Kirby. We’ve been enjoying games featuring the lovable pink ball since Dream Land on the Game Boy.

The latest escapade is Planet Robobot where Kirby travels through stages by jumping between the foreground and background and using more than 25 copy abilities to steal enemies’ powers. And yes, he can use awesome armoured suit like chúng tôi from Overwatch.

There’s also ammibo support and you can play the Team Kirby Clash mode with up to four people to complete quests.

Mario Kart 7

The series is in need of new version for the DS, but until that happens Mario Kart 7 is the best racing game available for the DS.

It was the Mario Kart game that introduced glider wings and underwater propellers that are now so familiar. You can also customise your kart with different wheels depending on the courses you’re going to tackle.

Other features include new courses like Wuhu Island, SpotPass and StreetPass, plus the ability to play multi-player locally or over the internet. New characters in Mario Kart 7 include Lakitu and Metal Mario. Don’t forget to check out the Balloon Battle and Coin Battle modes, too.

Luigi’s Mansion 2

Mario Party Star Rush

Forget trading property in Monopoly, although a Switch edition is coming, because Nintendo makes great board games.

As usual, you’ll play on different boards across different worlds but you don’t have to sit around waiting for each play to take a turn in order any longer. Instead you all play simultaneously making more flowing and fun.

You can expect plenty of mini games, board bosses and now you can almost collect players from the Mario universe as you go round to create a team. You’ll no doubt have fun battling it out with up to four players over local wireless or Download Play.

The Best Vpn For Android

Not only do the features and settings in each app differ, but so does the service behind it, from the monthly price to the number of servers available, and the speed of the connection.

It is true that the best VPN services are often the best across all platforms, but some providers really go to town on their Android app, giving it lots of useful features, while others are much plainer.

Here, we’ve rounded up five of the absolute best, and you’ll be happy with any of them.

Android VPN Reviews ExpressVPN

If you want the best VPN for Android, our top choice is ExpressVPN.

The app offers everything you’d want: a kill switch (called Network Protection), OpenVPN and the proprietary Lightway protocol, split tunneling and a handy auto-connect setting which connects to a server when your phone connects to an untrusted Wi-Fi network.

Particularly useful is the fact that there’s an Android widget which you can put on your home screen and use as a shortcut to connect and disconnect the VPN without even opening the ExpressVPN app. You can’t use it to change servers, but tapping the server name opens the app on the server list, so even that’s quick.

You can save your favourite locations for quicker connection, or let the app’s ‘Smart Location’ feature find the best connection for your needs.

The service behind the app is top notch: great speeds, seamless unblocking of various streaming services and servers everywhere you’d want them.

Yes, it does cost more than the others here but, to repeat what we said at the start… if you want the best VPN for Android, this is it. ExpressVPN runs all its servers in RAM, with nothing written to hard drives at all, so it’s one of the most secure out there.

You can get a 49% discount by signing up to the 12-month subscription which comes with three free months.

NordVPN

NordVPN, despite the drawbacks you’ll find below, is still one of our top picks for Android. It recently added support for the WireGuard protocol (it calls it NordLynx) and it really makes a huge difference to speed.

Connections are virtually instant and speeds are so fast you won’t notice any slowdown to your internet connection. This means you’re far more likely to use the service more of, or all of, the time.

The app itself is very easy to use, although the simplified interface doesn’t have much detail if you want to see how busy a particular server is and there’s no way to add favourites.

Those are mere niggles compared to the more problematic absence of a kill switch. But connections are supremely stable in our experience so even that isn’t a big deal, especially if a dropped connection isn’t going to put you in harm’s way, which it almost certainly won’t. In countries where you’re breaking the law by using a VPN, dropped connections can be a major issue, but if that’s your situation, you probably won’t want to use a consumer service anyway.

You will find useful features such as split tunneling, CyberSec and Tapjacking, which protects you from malicious apps which steal your logins and other info.

The cheapest plan is the two-year subscription, which is billed up front and works out at around £2.68/US$3.49 per month.

Surfshark

Surfshark doesn’t have quite as many servers as some rivals here, but there are still a lot – over 1700 – and when you factor in the price and the features on offer, it’s a great-value choice.

On top of that, you can use Surfshark’s Multihop servers, which route your internet connection via two servers – yet another way to ensure your real location and identity cannot be discovered.

Plus, the app is well designed, allowing you to see which servers are the least busy, the ability to favourite particular servers and – of course – quickly connect to either the fastest available or physically nearest server.

If there’s a drawback, it’s that Surfshark hasn’t yet added support for the fast new WireGuard protocol and connections can take a fair amount of time: 20-30 seconds in our testing.

Speeds aren’t bad, but they’re by no means the quickest. The protocol is chosen automatically, but the fastest option is likely to be OpenVPN.

However, before you dismiss it, note that Surfshark does a great job of unblocking video services, lets you connect unlimited devices at once and only costs £1.95/$2.49 per month.

That’s excellent value, then.

CyberGhost

CyberGhost is a huge name in VPNs, and it should come as no surprise that it’s Android app is easy to use.

It’s fast, too, thanks to the addition of WireGuard, and there are thousands of servers to choose from.

You can choose which apps do and don’t use the VPN connection (split tunneling) and there’s also a built-in ad-blocker and a potentially useful data compression option for those with limited mobile data.

You can connect via up to seven devices at once, and CyberGhost claims to unblock 35 streaming services. We certainly had no issues watching Netflix and BBC iPlayer.

One missing feature is a kill switch, so bear that in mind when choosing.

The cheapest subscription is £2.15/$2.75 per month if you’re willing to commit to three years.

You can sign up on CyberGhost’s website.

Ivacy

Ivacy may not yet have WireGuard available to Android users, but its app does have a kill switch and split tunneling, plus a multiport setting which helps to disguise the fact that you’re using a VPN, so should enable you to get around just about all firewalls that try and block VPNs.

There are over 1000 servers to choose between, plus support for torrenting, should you need to download this type of file.

The app has three tabs which make it simple to connect to the right server. Under Purposes you’ll find ‘Start Streaming’, ‘Secure Downloading’ and ‘Start Unblocking’.

What’s missing is an auto-connection option, so you do have to remember to connect to a server when you join a public Wi-Fi network, for example.

But while there may be a few drawbacks, Ivacy is seriously compelling because of its low, low price.

This special deal gets you a five-year subscription for just 74p/99c per month. (Use code IVACY20 at the checkout to get the extra discount.)
