Suggested January 2024 Fitbit Premium Subscription Promises More Personal Touch

Fitbit Premium subscription promises more personal touch

Fitbit isn’t just something you strap to your wrist to count your steps and log your workouts any more, with the launch of the Fitbit Premium subscription service to help guide users through getting healthier. Launching alongside the new Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Premium promises personalized coaching and thousands of workouts, which the company says were developed both from its experience in health tracking and by consulting experts.

That roster doesn’t just include personal trainers and professional gym talent, either. Fitbit says it has also consulted with clinical and exercise psychologists, nutritionists, sleep scientists, and others, to make sure it’s getting subscribers into the right state of mind as much as into the right workout.

To begin with there’ll be nine guided health and fitness programs. They’ll run the gamut for personal health, from how to get more sleep and wake up feeling more energized, to increasing activity, and managing nutrition. The full nine programs are as follows:

– Intro to Healthy Habits

– Get More Zzz’s

– Habits for Restful Sleep

– Get Active

– Beginner Running

– Run Training

– Understand Calories

– Kick Your Sugar Habit

– Kick Your Salt Habit

Each will include tips and tricks for the day, coaching with suggested actions, workout plans, relaxation tools, and even recipe suggestions. More programs will be added before the end of the year, together with new adaptive challenges and games which encourage more activity through the day. It’ll be 2023, though, when the really interesting features arrive.

Then, Fitbit plans to launch a personal, one-to-one coaching service. After a limited pilot it expects to run in 2023, it will build on the coaching tools in Fitbit Care with a personalized plan and direct support from the Fitbit health and wellness coaches through the app.

As for sleep, Fitbit Premium will include greater metrics from the data the wearables collect overnight. That will include daily analysis of the Sleep Score, breaking it down into metrics like time asleep, what percentage was spent in deep or REM stages, and how restful it was. There’ll also be 15- to 45-minute audio relaxation tools, and better insights connecting how well you sleep with how active you are.

For broader healthcare, Fitbit Premium will allow a wellness report to be created. That will not only include trend data and graphs of your activity, but insights into that activity, heart rate, sleep, and weight. Fitbit envisages it being a useful data set that could be shared with a doctor, nutritionist, personal trainer, or other specialist.

Fitbit Premium launches in September in the US, and will be priced at $9.99 per month or $79.99 for a year. Come the fall, it will be available in English in 17 countries, and with additional languages promised for 2023, including Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. One-to-one coaching will cost extra, and will be offered later this year as a limited trial to US users only.

Realme Interview: Premium Prices, New Markets, Update Promises, And More

Premium realme prices

realme has a reputation for offering flagship phones that are affordably priced compared to the competition. But we’ve repeatedly seen a pattern over the years for upstart smartphone brands to start with affordable flagships and then offer premium price tags as they become established. Examples of this include Xiaomi and the Mi 10 series and Huawei and its Pro range. Will we see realme offer premium pricing for flagships in 2023? Sheth responded:

Not this year, in 2023. But yes, you’ll see [the] price of the devices, definitely around $600 to $700, coming this year.

It’s not clear how this will translate to European and Indian pricing, with last year’s realme X50 Pro starting at under ~$550 in India but retailing for €599 (~$726) in Europe. For what it’s worth, the realme Race Pro in particular looks like it might warrant a $600 to $700 price tag. The upcoming Snapdragon 888-toting flagship packs a 160Hz QHD+ OLED screen and a 5,000mAh battery with 125W charging.

It is clear, however, that the company isn’t ruling out premium flagship pricing in the future. And it therefore sounds like a price hike isn’t out of the question for 2023 or later.

Plans for Europe

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority

realme is a relatively recent entrant to the European region, but it’s already managed to deliver plenty of growth. So what should we expect for the region this year? In addition to bringing more of its lifestyle products to Europe, Sheth highlighted realme’s loftier goals:

Our key target is definitely to popularize 5G in every single price segment. And being in the top five or top three in many markets. To sell around 10 to 12 million units in Europe, that’s our ambition.

New year, new markets

realme has a pretty solid global footprint, but there’s definitely room to expand, including, “many other markets” in Europe and elsewhere which the company has yet to enter.

“One of the regions we’ll definitely be a part of is Africa,” said Sheth. “Maybe Western Africa, Eastern Africa, and Southern Africa we’ll be entering this year.” South Africa was highlighted specifically as being on the cards via local carrier Vodacom, with a global central agreement with parent company Vodafone already established.

On under-display selfie cameras and foldables

The smartphone industry recently saw the launch of the first commercially available phone with an under-display selfie camera in the ZTE Axon 20 5G. Unfortunately, images taken with this camera definitely seem like a step down compared to traditional selfie cameras. Should we expect this feature from realme in 2023?

Sheth says it won’t commercialize technology until the company feels it’s practical enough to use. That appears to include under-display cameras — “not in 2023 for sure,” Sheth affirmed, while also delivering the same response at the prospect of a foldable realme phone.

…I’m not saying it’s one of the best communication apps between the mobile phone and IoT, but I can guarantee that we’re basically moving in the right direction… currently the realme Link app is 100x more improved than when we actually launched.

He added that he was “pretty confident” in connectivity between realme ecosystem products and iOS as well, with the iOS version of the realme Link app launching in December 2023.

Are you excited to see realme’s plans unfold in 2023?

Floating Touch: Get Ios Assistive Touch For Android

iOS comes with a Assistive Touch feature that you can use to access various sections of the phone/tablet. While it is meant for people with physical impairments and have limited mobility with their hands, many people are using it constantly and some have even used it as a replacement for the Home button. To get Assistive Touch for Android, you can use an app call Floating Touch which brings a similar solution for Android phone, but with more customization options.

Just like Assistive Touch, Floating Touch places a floating button on your screen and you can tap on it to bring up a list of actions and shortcuts. It allows you to easily control your device or open your favorite apps without closing current app.

1. Install Floating Touch from the Google Play store.

2. Once installed and activated, you will see a grey button floating on your screen. You can move the floating button anywhere around the edges of the screen. It doesn’t stick in the center of the screen. If you place it in the center, it will automatically drift to the nearest edge.

3. Tap on the button and you will see a circle menu pop out in the center of the screen. The default menu comes with 4 options: Lock Screen, Clean Memory, Home Screen, and a folder containing various shortcuts.

As you can see, tapping the Home icon will bring you back to the Home screen while the Broom icon will clear the memory of your phone. For the Lock Screen icon to work, you will need to make it the device administrator. Note that if you have activated the “Device Administrators” option, you will need to deactivate it before you can uninstall this app.

The folder icon is the most useful option in the list as it opens up another list of actions and shortcuts.

4. Tapping the center button brings you to the customization page. This is where you can add/remove shortcuts from the menu.

As stated in the instructions, you can long press on any icon to remove it from the list. Press the “+” button to assign a new action or app. There is a total of 8 slots that you can use. Adding a folder with sub-options is out of the question unless you upgrade it to the Pro version. Other than that, you can add pretty much everything from the System Settings to Apps shortcuts .

5. Other things that you can customize include the Panel color and the floating button icon, size and transparency.

The price for Floating Touch is free, but there is a Pro version where you can get it via the in-app purchase. The Pro version costs $1.99 and it allows you to add a folder (with sub-options) and use a photo for the floating button.

Conclusion

In iOS, Apple has to include the Assistive Touch themselves as they don’t allow developers to access the internal settings of the OS. This means that it is only as customizable as Apple allows it. This is what makes Floating Touch shines. The floating button is probably the only similarity it has with Assistive Touch. Other than that, you can customize every single item to your liking and make your workflow more productive. One thing that I would love to see is the ability to combine several actions into one so I can just tap on one icon to activate a few things. For example, I would like to turn on Bluetooth and Play Music at the same time. It will be great if I can do it with a single tap.

The Best Fitbit Versa 3 And Fitbit Sense Bands (September 2023)

Kaitlyn Cimino / Android Authority

Versa 3

Despite their different price points, the Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense have a lot in common, including their interchangeable bands. We tracked down the top picks for replacing those bands so you can upgrade your smartwatch, whichever model you own.

The best Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense bands

Though now outdone by newer models, the Sense and Versa 3 remain among Fitbit’s most popular smartwatches. With accurate health tracking, extensive fitness tracking, sleep monitoring, and hefty battery life, both devices call for bands that are comfortable, durable, and of course, look great.

Ouwegaga Slim Bands: The best thin bands

For something just a bit slimmer, Ouwegaga offers a slightly trimmed silicone band, with a similar aesthetic to Fitbit infinity bands (just with a metal buckle). The tapered width provides a better fit for smaller wrists without sacrificing balance. Unlike other thin bands that tend to contrast the device itself, this band’s narrowing feels organic and fluid.

As far as the band material, each is made of high-grade silicone. It’s soft and flexible, but also reliably strong and water-resistant. Available in packs of three for $8.99, these bands come in sizes small and large.

Maledan Sport Bands: The best Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense sport band

For a band that’s ready for the weight room, perforation is the way to go. Small air holes mean you can sweat it out without trapping moisture and get cool air to your skin underneath. These silicon straps are highly ventilated, making them breathable, lightweight, and easy to rinse.

At just $10.99 for a four-pack, Maledan bands are basically a diamond-looking version of Fitbit’s Sport bands but at a much more attractive price. Snag a pack if your primary focus is getting in shape and using your device to get there.

Maledan Leather Band: The best leather band

Silicone isn’t the only thing Maledan gets right; the company also makes our list for the best leather Fitbit replacement band. These top-grain, genuine leather bands are classy and versatile at a price that won’t break the bank. For just $11.99, you can wear it to the boardroom or the bar; it’s a look that works for nearly any occasion.

As far as comfort, the leather straps are soft, thin, and lightweight. Stainless steel connectors keep the band secure to your device, while a matching stainless steel buckle keeps it on your wrist. Choose an alternative color like Wine Red or Glitter Gold, or keep things standard with a neutral like beige, brown, or the gray shown above. Maledan offers eleven different colors, each with detailed stitching.

Avod Nylon Bands: The best Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense nylon band

Amazon

Nylon bands are practical. They’re flexible, look neat, and can stand up to both sweat and swimming pools. If you are interested in tracking your sleep and snoring, they’re as comfortable a bedmate as you can hope to find. They won’t trap heat like other materials, and they’re free of hard clasps or buckles.

These nylon bands from Avod feature a hook and loop design so you can adjust yours to just the right fit. They also come in a variety of colors ranging from Summit White above, all the way to Official Rainbow. Purchase a single band priced at $7.99 or purchase a two pack for even more color options.

Shangpule Metal Band: The best Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense metal band

When you want something more professional than a rubber-looking band, make it a metal one. This Shangpule stainless steel replacement band will give your device the formal sophistication of a traditional timepiece.

Its hefty construction consists of a series of individual links, three of which can be removed to adjust the band’s length. It also employs a double button closing clasp that will keep your device securely strapped. While it feels and looks expensive, you can get this upscale look for just $10.99.

Joyozy Resin Bands: The best fashion bands

Why shouldn’t you have a watch that’s both smart and stylish? This fashion-forward option from Joyozy comes in over twenty different designs, each for just under $20. The bands are made from links of resin, a plastic-like material that is lightweight and waterproof but much more durable. They’re secured with a clasp and pins made of stainless steel.

This fashion band also comes with a link removal tool to easily adjust the size to fit your wrist. Ultimately, the overall effect is a refined look that will blend seamlessly with your device, other jewelry, and any outfit.

Gelishi Rugged Protector Strap: The best rugged band

Amazon

If protecting your investment is a top priority, consider a rugged band. This option from Gelishi is one of the best options for the Versa 3 and the Sense. It features a chiseled TPU design with raised bezels, protecting the wearables from minor bumps. That means you can put your heart rate monitor to the test in all types of environments.

Notably, this band isn’t completely devoid of style either. It’s available in six colorways, from an alluring soft pink to an outdoorsy military green. You can find any of these options for just $17.99.

Honorable mentions

That’s it for our list of the best Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense bands you can buy, but it’s only a fraction of what’s out there. We also want to give an honorable mention to the following products:

Visoom Loop Band: For stretch and comfort, Visoom loop bands are an elastic nylon option that you can slip on and off.

Getino Silicone Bands: If mixing up your look is a top priority, Getino offers budget-friendly silicone bands in multi-color packs of twelve.

Yes. You can always purchase a first-party replacement strap directly from Fitbit. However, these will often be pricier options.

Yes, the same proprietary charging cable will work with both the Fitbit Sense and Versa 3.

It’s not paranoia if you insist on recording every conversation you ever have, it’s just plain common sense.  Zoom obviously know that, since they’ve just outed their latest stereo recorder, the Zoom H1 Handy Recorder, and it’s their smallest and cheapest to-date.  $99 gets you a 2oz handheld with twin stereo microphones capable of slapping down 24-bit/96 kHz stereo audio onto up to 32GB microSDHC cards.

Explanation

Personal finance means finance for a person. The individual earns money either through business or a job. He wants to invest to cover his daily expenses and achieve his long-term financial goals.

Long-term financial goals may include marriage expenses for children, educational expenses for children, retirement funds, dream projects, buying a house, high net worth, etc. The goals can differ according to each personal preference.

He needs to have the guidance of some financial expert to cover his financial needs & goals appropriately.

The planning process of personal finance goes like this:

The individual first needs to assess where he stands today, i.e., understanding his finances. He needs to prepare his current sources of finances & his current estimated liabilities, if any.

If a person has substantial financial obligations, he should focus first on paying the financial obligations first. Only after then should he strive for savings & retirement goals.

Assuming that the individual has no obligation presently or has managed to pay his obligations, he needs to define a financial goal for the future.

He then needs to choose the alternatives available for investment purposes.

As per the plan, he must allocate his funds to the respective areas for each frequency selected above.

In case of a change in the investment environment, he must churn his portfolio accordingly.

As you observe at the end of the year, the total is as follows:

Emergency fund     8,580

Savings Account     8,220

Investments   24,300

Total   41,100

Thus, the person is financially independent at the end of the year due to prudent expenses & rational investments.

Types of Personal Finance

An essential savings account is treated as a type of personal finance medium. You can do so whenever you wish to withdraw specific amounts.

Choosing the appropriate stock from a list of stocks is necessary to increase return on investment. This is also terms as a means of personal finance.

If an individual wants to excel in human capital, he can avail of mortgages or loans to take up an educational loan (such as a loan for CFA).

Mortgages or loans may also be taken for leverage purposes to acquire a new asset.

Need for Personal Finance Principles of Personal Finance

Some of the basic principles of personal finance are as follows:

The most crucial focus in personal finance is savings. The more you save, the more funds you have for disposal. Savings gives you an ultimate level of confidence in routine business dealings.

Personal finance works best only after we have set the priorities for the spending pattern since resources are limited.

Save yourself from making unrequired or luxurious spending (such as buying an expensive car, watch, etc.). That means there is no space for “show-offs” in personal finance.

Investments should be made so that there are passive sources of income even if you haven’t worked to date.

Gaining after every experience is very important in this field. Financial education is necessary to excel in the field of personal finance.

Areas of Personal Finance

Let’s discuss each area of personal finance in a little more detailed manner:

Revenue: This is the start of personal finance. Unless you have something, how can you invest it? To generate revenue, a person does business or provides a reputed service. This business helps him get earned. The most common sources of revenue include salary for employment, bonus, dividend income, pension income, interest income, etc.

Expenses: Every revenue has a counterparty expense. Thus, you need to prioritize the expenses. First & foremost, the operating expenses are to be settled so that these expenses do not lag in the future. The ordinary expenses incurred by any individual are rental expenses, EMIs, welfare expenses, personal expenses, travel expenses, entertainment, taxes, etc. However, one may choose to pay the expenses through a credit card & take the benefit of an interest-free credit period.

Savings: All revenues less all expenses equals savings. This is the net amount retained at your disposal. This amount is compared to the revenue & one can understand the savings ratio to revenue. Savings can be reflected through the retention of physical cash, the amount in a savings bank account, investment in money market instruments, or other very liquid instruments. You should never invest 10% of your savings. It is always suggested to keep an emergency fund ready in an uncertain situation.

Investments: The amount allocated from savings is transferred to investments. By this, we mean purchasing certain assets that will generate revenue. Investment carries a risk. Every risk has an inevitable return. Risk & return go hand in hand. Investment can be made in stocks, equities, real estate, mutual funds, etc. Investment is to be made as per the risk appetite of the individual. Thus, this is the most critical area in personal finance.

Insurance: Insurance means financial protection in case of an unforeseen situation. For this, a certain amount is paid frequently. Some famous insurances are life, health, and stock insurance. Some insurers also provide the benefit of savings through the premium amount.

Why is Personal Finance Importance?

Finance, i.e., money, is the ultimate goal for every business person. Accumulation of money is given much more important than earning money. Personal finance comes into play as to how to manage this accumulated money. Investment ideas & other investment vehicles are necessary to channel this money source. Thus, personal finance is essential for any individual who wishes to earn more with time.

Benefits

Some of the benefits are:

You know precisely the quantum of money you have retained. Thus, there is no need to look for other sources of finance.

Leverage is a doubles-sized sword. One who does not know how to handle this sword should ideally invest the money in business from personal finances & not from loans.

Since you had invested the entire amount in the business, you retained 100% ownership. Thus, your business is debt-free & runs entirely on the business of the capacities inbuilt into the company.

You are not answerable to any outsider for finances.

If you have invested the entire amount in the business, you may not have the emergency funds for your family’s needs in case of any emergency.

Your expenses are reduced & you will think about spending less as always.

Non-availability of the source of finance in case any extra funds are required since no credit image is created.

By chance, the business is a loss-making venture; you lose your money.
