Finding the perfect desktop and smartphone wallpapers can be fruitless, so why not create your own wallpaper instead? Once you get the hang of how to do it, you’ll be designing eye-catching wallpapers in no time.

For this tutorial, we will be using Canva, an online service that lets you create graphics for free. There are pro features available, but you can create your own wallpapers without paying without hitting any major restrictions.

Table of Contents

To get started, visit Canva and then get signed up. From there, you can follow the guide we have below to create your own wallpapers for your desktop or smartphone.

Use Canva To Create Your Own Custom Wallpapers

Next, you will be asked to start your first design. Type in wallpaper and you’ll have the option to choose a desktop wallpaper or a phone wallpaper. Choose an option here. You can always come back to this page later.

It’s now time to get to grips with the Canva user interface. The blank white space on your screen is the area you can use to create your own wallpaper. It’s your blank canvas. You can use the tools on the left to add elements, photos and text to bring your wallpaper to life.

If you want something simple, you can choose from a template in the template section. You could even search specific words and themes. Let’s say you want a peaceful scene. You could type nature and relevant results would appear.

Keep in mind that the default resolution for the wallpapers are 1920×1080 for desktop and 1080×1920 for smartphone, so you may want to choose photos that match those resolutions.

To find the wallpaper templates again, just search for wallpaper in the search box.

After this, it’s time to add more detail to your wallpaper. If you want to add shapes, lines, or other graphics start with the elements tab. You can scroll through each category or use the search bar to find specific elements.

As you add more elements, pay attention to the pink lines. They are used to help you line every element up with one another. Once an element is lined up, it will lock into place slightly to help you get everything in the right place.

Text is another tool that you’ll want to master. You can choose to add text as a heading, subheading or a body of text, or you can choose font combinations.

With font combinations, you’re essentially adding a font template that matches the design shown in the thumbnails. There are dozens of font templates, so you can get really fancy with minimal effort.

When you add a template, you can use the tools at the top to edit the font, the font color, and size. If you can’t find a font template you like, you can still do it manually with the subheadings, headings, and body text options.

By using the text tools on the top of the page, you can quite easily make nice designs for your wallpaper. Once you have finished your design, it’s time to download it and add it to your device.

For Android and iOS, you must transfer the file to your smartphone first, then set it as your desktop background or lock screen in the settings menu. If at any point you want to make adjustments, Canva saves your designs automatically, so you can go back and make adjustments, then download it again.

So in order to enter the details, you have to first Tap on the “Custom Dimensions” option.

After selecting the “Custom Dimensions” option, you need to enter the appropriate pixel size of your Apple product.

Note: For portrait wallpapers, you need to invert the two numbers so that width is the smaller number and the height is larger.

Enter proper height and width, and tap on “Create” button in order to create a blank canvas.

Note: You can follow the same step to make the wallpaper on iPad as well

In order to give a proper design to your blank canvas, you need to add different elements by tapping on the “plus (+)” icon present in the bottom right corner of your current window.

In this step, you have to give a proper design to your blank canvas by adding attractive templates, beautiful photos, backgrounds, and texts.

After selecting the appropriate design, you need to tap on the “Download” icon present in the upper right corner of the current window and tap on Save as Image.

After accessing the custom design from the Photos section, you need to either set it as wallpaper or lock screen.

In order to set your design as a lock screen or wallpaper, you need to first go to the Settings of your iPhone or iPad → tap on Wallpaper → Choose a New Wallpaper → tap on All Photos option, select your custom design which you have created earlier.

With the help of this step, you can Set the custom design as wallpaper, lock screen or both by selecting the “Set Home Screen” option or “Set Lock Screen” option and “Set Both” option respectively.

So by executing the above-mentioned steps, you will be able to set amazing wallpapers on your iPhone or iPad.

How To Create Your Own Custom Firefox Themes.

If you are a big fan of customizing the look and feel of your computer, especially your Internet browser, this article will show you how to use Firefox Color. A new, experimental feature being tested by Mozilla, which allows you to create your own fully custom Firefox browser theme in only a few minutes.

How to Turn Off Quick Find on Firefox 63. (Disable Quick Find on Firefox)

Even though Firefox isn’t the most popular browser on the market it is by far one of the best and certainly the most under-rated. It’s clean, exceptionally fast, secure, privacy-conscious, and uses far fewer system resources than most of its competitors, including Google Chrome. What makes Firefox even more appealing is the fact the browser’s interface is quite customisable.

Admitadely Chrome and other browsers allow you to customise their browsers, with custom themes and extensions, however, none goes as far as Firefox. On Firefox you have the ability to customise themes as well as a large portion of the interface, with options to move icons, search bars, spacers etc.

Taking customisation further, Mozilla has also added a feature to Firefox called “Firefox Colors”, which allows you to fully customise almost every part of the browsers colouring, with the exception of the Options menu and New Tab page. That being said, both of these areas are under consideration and will hopefully end up included in the customisation tools official release. Make sure you check out the official promo video below.

How To Create Your Own Os X Dashboard Widgets From Safari

Where do I start?

To show you how to do it, I’m going to use the League Standings table from the Philadelphia Phillies website.  Here’s a link to the site, so you can follow along! Obviously, I’m a huge Phillies fan. As such, I check at least once a day to see how they did in their last game, who their next is against, when it is, and how they’re doing against teams in their division. All this info is in one chart at the Phils’ site. But to open Safari, head over the page, find the link, and load it up is just way too much hassle. So here’s how to add it to the Dashboard.

First, pull up the page. It should look something like this:

Using the dots on the outline of this box, you can resize it, and perhaps more useful, you can drag it around, and it will automatically resize to parts of the page that you are likely to want to add to your Dashboard. I’m going to scroll down the page and grab the National League East section.

How To Start Your Own Cryptocurrency

How to Start Your Own Cryptocurrency

So you’ve decided to plunge into the world of cryptocurrencies and build your own. How do you get started?

Can Anyone Build Their Own Cryptocurrency?

In a short answer, cryptocurrencies can be created by anyone with technical computer programming knowledge.

Key Highlights

Cryptocurrencies can be created by anyone with some technical programming knowledge.

Apart from paying someone to create it, there are three main ways of doing it yourself – build your own blockchain, modify an existing blockchain or build on the back of an existing blockchain.

However, there are things to consider beforehand, such as legality, use case, tokenomics, and startup costs.

How Can You Start Your Own Cryptocurrency?

There are three main ways to start your own cryptocurrency:

1. Create your own blockchain and native coin 2. Modify an existing blockchain 3. Build a new cryptocurrency on the back of an existing blockchain

Platforms such as the Ethereum network, Binance, Solana, and Ripple all allow for new cryptocurrencies to be built upon their established blockchains. While this method offers less customization of your token, it is perhaps the easiest method of building your own blockchain. The downside of this method is that your cryptocurrency is dependent on the blockchain that you choose since if that blockchain ever goes down or fails, the ability to transact with your token would be compromised.

Things to Consider Before You Build Your Own Cryptocurrency

Before you create your cryptocurrency, there are a few things to consider, including:

First of all is the legality. While it is decentralized, the recent high-profile failures of Three Arrows, Terra/Luna, and the FTX cryptocurrency exchange have increased pressure on regulators to clamp down on Cryptocurrencies.

So before you start your own cryptocurrency, you should ensure that the jurisdiction[1] you are in allows for cryptocurrencies. For example, cryptocurrencies are absolutely banned in China, implicitly banned in Cameroon, and allowed under certain regulatory frameworks in the United States.

Use case

This is the purpose of your cryptocurrency and generally the first thing that cryptocurrency investors should look at. What is your cryptocurrency for? And how does your cryptocurrency do this better than other competing offers? These terms should be clearly outlined in your cryptocurrency’s whitepaper, such as the one for Bitcoin.

The use case will also dictate whether your blockchain is a permissionless one, where anyone can join and download a copy of the distributed ledger. Or will it take the form of a private, permissioned blockchain, such as US investment bank JP Morgan’s Onyx Coin[2]?

What purpose your cryptocurrency will serve will also determine who controls the blockchain. Will your blockchain be centralized, as we see in most stablecoins, so that supply is controlled in order to match the underlying security to back up the value of the cryptocurrency, such as Tether Gold[3]? Or will your crypto be completely decentralized and left up to the users of the network to vote and decide on changes to the blockchain, such as the Ethereum network?

The first thing to decide is how many coins or tokens to create. You also need to consider how they are released in order to control the amount in circulation. How are the coins to be initially distributed, and how much is owned by the creators and affiliated entities?

Another key to consider is if tokens can be created after the crypto is launched. And if so, are they mined or minted?

What is the incentive for others on your network to help maintain the decentralized ledger? Is it based on economic rewards like Bitcoin mining, or is it based on maintaining the integrity of the entire network, like we see in Ripple’s XRPL?

Lastly, you must decide how the coins are burned, such as gas, for transactions on the Ethereum network. You might also consider if your cryptocurrency buys back a certain portion of the outstanding supply on a predefined schedule in order to support the value (such as Binance’s autoburn of its BNB coin).

These factors comprise a token’s economics – also called “Tokenomics.”

Startup Costs

All cryptocurrencies require some sort of cost to set up, such as paying a third party to design and build your blockchain or the gas that you will burn setting up your cryptocurrency token on an existing blockchain, such as Binance’s Smart Chain, which can be as low as USD5.
