Suggested March 2024 How To Upload Photos To Instagram Without Compressing Them
If you want to avoid compression that occurs when uploading an image to Instagram in an unsupported resolution, follow the instructions laid out in this step-by-step tutorial.Instagram image sizes
According to the Instagram Help Center:
When you share a photo on Instagram, regardless of whether you’re using Instagram for iOS or Android, we make sure to upload it at the best quality resolution possible.
Things are a bit more complex than that, though. In Instagram talk, “the best quality resolution possible” really means up to a width of just 1080 pixels. Yup, 1080 pixels. You read that right.
If you upload a photo between 320 and 1080 pixels, no resizing will take place. As long as the aspect ratio is between 1.91:1 and 4:5, it’ll appear on Instagram without compression. Share a higher resolution image, and the system will size it down to 1080 pixels horizontally.
If the aspect ratio of your photo isn’t supported, it’ll get cropped to fit a supported ratio.
No processing: Photos with a width between 320 and 1080 pixels and a height between 566 and 1350 pixels, yielding an aspect ratio between 1.91:1 and 4:5.
Upscaling: If you share a photo at a very low resolution, meaning fewer than 320 pixels wide, Instagram will enlarge it to a width of 320 pixels.
Downscaling: Any images with a higher resolution than 1080 horizontal pixels or 1350 vertical pixels will be sized down by Instagram’s servers to a width of 1080 pixels.
Cropping: If your upload has an unsupported aspect ratio, Instagram will crop the image the best it can to fit a supported ratio (between 1.91:1 and 4:5).
This can all be very confusing, but don’t worry about a thing as we have you covered. Just follow along with us as we explain how to avoid compression when uploading your Instagrams. How to upload photos to Instagram without compression
In order to avoid triggering Instagram’s downscaling algorithm that may result in compression artifacts, you must first resize your photo to Instagram’s preferred width of 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio between 1.91:1 and 4:5. Otherwise, Instagram will recompress and resize your image.
There are plenty of options on the App Store for resizing iPhone images. For the purpose of this tutorial, we’ll be using the free Image Size app, but you can use any app you like.
1) Open the Image Size app and tap the big white frame to add your desired picture from the Photos app.
2) Make sure pixel is selected and in the width and height box, enter one of the following:
For square images: 1:1 (1080 x 1080)
For landscape: 1.91:1 (800 x 418)
For portrait images: 4:5 (1080 x 1350)
As you can see that we aren’t exceeding Instagram’s maximum width of 1080 or maximum height of 1350, its compression algorithms should leave it untouched.
3) Tap the save arrow button to have the final Instagram-perfect resized image in your iPhone Camera Roll.
And that’s it, you now have the correct version of your original image in the Photos library conveniently sized down to a width of 1080 pixels. All that’s left to do at this point is fire up the mobile Instagram app on your iPhone and share the resized image.
Because the image now fits the required dimensions, no compression will take place.
Of course, nothing prevents a power user from using pro tools on their Mac or Windups PC, such as Adobe Photoshop, Pixelmator, Affinity Photo, and so forth, for image resizing. Upon saving the sized-down version to the computer, you could quickly transfer the file to your iPhone via AirDrop, ready to be uploaded to Instagram.Other guidelines to post images in high quality on Instagram
Don’t use the Instagram camera to take pictures. Use your phone’s built-in Camera app.
Don’t use filters or editing tools in the Instagram app. Edit your image beforehand and simply post it to Instagram.
Use JPEG (JPG) instead of PNG or HEIF.
Don’t add music to the image post on Instagram.
Use the Instagram app on your smartphone to post the image instead of other tools.
If you’re the type of person who cares a lot about image quality or you manage a business account on Instagram, a little bit of planning will go a long way toward ensuring your Instagrams look their best rather than exhibit those ugly compression artifacts.

Growing your Instagram followers is already a challenge. But getting more followers on Instagram without posting is even harder.
This is because you’re not able to utilize any hashtags.
Fortunately, there is a method you can use to grow your Instagram followers without posting and I’ll share this method in this article.
To get more followers on Instagram without posting, you can join follow for follow communities/groups for Instagram like Followchain as it allows you to self-promote your Instagram for free.
That way, you don’t have to post at all to get followers.
Therefore, in this article, I’ll explain how to get more followers on Instagram (real and active ones) without posting in three simple steps. How to get followers on Instagram without posting
Here’s how you can get followers on Instagram without posting:Step 1: Share your Instagram link on F4F subreddits
Open Reddit, and register for an account (if you haven’t already) by going to chúng tôi in your browser. Once you’ve signed up, verify your email address in your inbox.
Make sure to check your junk/spam mail if you haven’t received the verification email. It usually takes up to 5 minutes.
Once you’ve signed up and logged in, go to the r/FollowForFollow subreddit, post your Instagram link, and a short description about yourself.Step 2: Follow others that interest you
Next, browse the home page of r/FollowForFollow and follow others that are in the same niche as you. This will greatly increase your engagement rates (since both parties enjoy each other’s content).
Alternatively, you can search for their username on Instagram.Step 3: Send a direct message
Once you’ve followed the user, send them a direct message saying that you’re from Followchain by tapping on the ‘message’ button.
If the account you’re following is a private one, tap on the triple-dot icon on the top right-hand corner of your screen to send a message.
By sending them a direct message saying you’re from Reddit, the user will know that you’re from the community and will follow you back.
Typically, the user will follow you back within 24 hours once you’ve sent a message.
If they haven’t followed you back (which is highly unlikely), simply unfollow them.Restrictions
Do not repetitively follow or direct message as it will result to an action block.
If you get action blocked, it may last for several hours, a day or more which will negatively affect your growth efforts.
To prevent the action block, make sure to follow and direct message in an interval of 10 minutes.Potential results
Reddit is a great way to self-promote your Instagram and connect with people in your niche.
You can gain 10-20 followers daily using the above method to get more followers on Instagram without having to post a single photo.
The best part is, it’s completely free!
You can also self-promote your Instagram in other follow for follow communities/groups.

OpenAI has been adding several interesting features to ChatGPT, including support for web browsing and plugins. However, there is still no way to upload a document natively and ask questions from its context. Sure, some users can train an AI chatbot on their data, but not everyone has the understanding to set up tools and libraries. So if you are looking for an easy way to upload a document to ChatGPT, this tutorial is going to help you. We have included six different ways to upload PDF, Word, Excel, and other documents to ChatGPT.Upload Files to ChatGPT Using Code Interpreter
Thanks to Code Interpreter in ChatGPT, you can now upload files to the chat UI directly. OpenAI has opened access to Code Interpreter for all paying users subscribed to ChatGPT Plus. It’s a phased rollout so users will likely get the beta feature in a week or two. Here is how you can upload files in a variety of formats to ChatGPT, be it audio, video, text, document formats, database files, coding files, etc.
You can follow our detailed article on how to enable and use Code Interpreter in ChatGPT. However, in this tutorial, I am briefly going to demonstrate the steps.
1. Open ChatGPT (visit) and move to “Settings” from the bottom-left corner.
3. Now, move to the “GPT-4” model and choose “Code Interpreter” from the drop-down menu.
5. Here, I have uploaded a PDF file to perform OCR and make it searchable in ChatGPT.Upload a Document to ChatGPT for Free Using an Extension
We know that OpenAI has not yet added a native functionality to upload documents and files to ChatGPT. However, using a cool ChatGPT Chrome extension, you can upload various types of files to ChatGPT and it works flawlessly. The extension is called ChatGPT File Uploader Extended, and it lets you upload several document formats, including TXT, JS, PY, HTML, CSS, JSON, CSV, MD, TS, TSX, JSX, PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, and ZIP. To learn about it works, follow the steps below.
2. Now, simply open the ChatGPT website (visit) and an “Upload” button will appear at the bottom right.
4. It will now start processing your document automatically.
5. After a while, the AI chatbot will generate a summary of the document.
7. I tested Word files, Excel tables, PDF documents, and more, and it processed everything successfully. Keep in mind that it cannot process documents with scanned images, though.Upload a PDF File to ChatGPT Using a Third-party Website
If you want to upload a PDF file to ChatGPT, you can take a look at chúng tôi (visit). It’s a great service that uses ChatGPT API to process and analyze PDF files. The best part is that you don’t need to add your API key.

1. First, open the ChatGPT website (visit) and enable ChatGPT Plugins by following our linked guide.
2. Now, open the “Plugin store” using the dropdown menu.
3. Here, move to the “All” section, look for the “AskYourPDF” plugin, and install it. You can also try the Link Reader plugin, which works similarly.
4. Next, enable “AskYourPDF” from the arrow icon once the plugin is installed.
5. Finally, enter the document link into ChatGPT, and you can ask any question you want.upload a document
7. Open the link and here, you can upload a variety of document formats, including PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, PPT, PPTX, CSV, EPUB, and RTF.
8. It will now give you a document ID. Copy it. This will allow you to continue chatting with the document in ChatGPT’s interface.
9. Simply paste the document ID and ask your questions. It will automatically identify your uploaded document and let you ask questions from that particular document only.Upload a Document to ChatGPT Using BookGPT
Finally, there is also a BookGPT project on Hugging Face that lets you upload an entire book. If you have a large document, this project is suitable for you. It uses ChatGPT’s API to process and analyze the document. The only drawback is that you need to add your OpenAI API key. Here is how it works.
3. Next, open the BookGPT project and paste the OpenAI API key at the bottom.
5. Within a few seconds, the document will be processed, and you will get an answer with page number citations. Isn’t that cool? You can now continue asking more questions.
Can you upload a file to ChatGPT?

If you’re a musician who wants his own songs on Apple Music, you may be wondering how to upload them to the streaming platform.
It’s easier than you might think, but it’s not as simple as uploading MP3s to a digital music store and calling it a day.
Table of ContentsYou Need a Music Distributor
Apple does not deal directly with artists, so there’s no way for you to upload your music to the service on your own. However, if you’re an artist signed by a record label, the label will do all the work for you when dealing with Apple.
If you’re an independent artist not signed to a label, you’ll need a music distributor. Specifically, you’ll have to use one of the music distributors on Apple’s approved partner list. At the time of writing, 28 partners listed on Apple’s site offer music distribution services.
The exact services offered by each provider can differ. For example, some only handle music, and some also handle music videos or live concert performances. In addition, some provide translation services for your metadata (e.g., track names) or let you submit the lyrics for your songs.
Different distributors are suitable for different kinds of artists. They also have specific registration processes, steps to enter information into their database, and uploading the music to Apple Music. This is why we can’t provide step-by-step instructions on how to add files on a distributor’s site and publish them.
They are all different, and all appeal to different types of artists. However, they guide everyone on how to upload a single, album, or video. It Costs Money to Publish
Music distributors don’t provide their services for free. You’ll have to pay a publication fee for your music to add it to the service. These fees are small but help to deter frivolous music submissions. Do cross-shop among the different distribution partners to see who offers the best rate.
You should also consider the distributor’s commission. A lower cut for the distributor might justify a higher upfront fee, especially if your music gets lots of listens!
For example, TuneCore charges a fee for each registration and upload but takes no commission. CD Baby, on the other hand, takes a 9% cut of streaming and download revenues, and 15% of publishing royalties.Your Music Must Meet Minimum Technical Standards
Today, anyone with the right skills can make professional-quality music in their homes. That doesn’t mean you can just upload and have it published.
Music distributors have minimum technical standards aligned with Apple’s requirements. Some distributors may have additional requirements if they publish your music to streaming platforms such as Spotify or YouTube Music. Not every distributor may agree to put lossless versions of your music online.
If your music doesn’t conform to what the distributor requires, you may have to export your songs again from your music production software, or you’ll have to convert your original files. For example, TuneCore has a guide for its clients with the technical specifications for the songs and how to convert music that doesn’t conform using the Music app on Mac or iTunes on Windows systems. You’ll Need Cover Art
The metadata you can include with your music submission is optional. Still, one thing you must produce in addition to the music itself is the cover art. Because you’re publishing digital music for streaming doesn’t mean your “album” doesn’t need a cover.
A fantastic album cover is visually attractive. Before you make yours, check the quality and dimensions of the artwork for the music distributor of your choice.
If you aren’t much of a visual artist and can’t afford to pay someone for album art, you still have several affordable options. For example, you can use a photograph and a tool such as Canva to create an album cover. Even AI image generators, such as MidJourney or DALL-E 2, will draw anything you can imagine for a tiny fee.You Must Have Rights to the Music
You must own the copyright to the music you upload or have it properly licensed from the rights holder. You may have to sign a declaration or provide evidence that you have the rights and permission to upload music to the distributor.
If you’ve made a cover version of an existing song, you’ll need the permission of that song’s rights holder to publish your cover and make money from it. Even if they consent, they are entitled to a percentage of your revenue through royalties. Ensure that before you try to upload your music files to a distributor.
If your music samples another artist’s music, the same rules may apply depending on the specific laws in effect and how you’ve sampled the music. If you’ve used samples from a royalty-free music library, check the terms and conditions since the royalty-free status may come with some strings attached.
While your work is technically copyrighted as soon as it’s recorded, a formal registration with the music rights body makes it easy to prove in any disputes. The rules of composition or writing credit may vary from one country or jurisdiction to the next.Music Must be Correctly Credited and Royalties Distributed
Music rights can be complicated. If you collaborated with someone else (e.g., you’re in a band) or someone contributed to the music composition or lyrics, they are entitled to writing credits. It’s a good idea to register your songs with your local music rights organization, listing everyone entitled to a revenue cut.
If you don’t provide the correct information to the distributor, it can lead to legal issues later with injured parties looking to claim their rightful slice of the revenue.Promoting Your Music
Getting your audio files distributed is half the battle! Once your music is on music streaming services, you still need to convince people it belongs in their iCloud music library. The dream would be to get your songs on a popular Apple Music playlist or even featured on the service’s front page.
Some music distributors offer tools to promote your music. Some of these tools may attract additional fees or a higher cut for the distributor, but the rising tide lifts all boats. Spending money on the right promotion types is never wasted, but you don’t have to invest much money to promote your music. Here are some ideas to get started:
Create YouTube content that links back to your Apple Music page.
Use social media to promote your music or get help from social media management professionals.
Create music videos or capture live performances and use this for promotional material.
It’s a good idea to observe how successful independent artists on Apple Music market themselves. It’s also important not to limit your audience to those with an Apple Music subscription. Many distributors will also publish your music on other streaming music platforms, and getting your music distributed as widely as possible can be a good thing.Claiming Your Artists Page
Once your music is uploaded to Apple Music, the final step is to claim your Apple Music Artists’ Page. You can’t do this until your content is live, but once your content is on the platform, you can use the Apple Music for Artists app to claim your page after providing the artist’s name. Of course, you must have an Apple ID or create one to complete this process.
You’ll have to provide some evidence that you are affiliated with the artist, but once you comply, you should be given access. While you can’t upload music, you can add additional information about your act and other aspects of the artist page.
You can claim your page from the iOS app on iPhone or iPad, or you can do it from any other platform like macOS, Windows, or Android.
But while hashtags are a good way for someone to see millions of #travel photos in one place, Facebook used those labeled photographs to do something else: train their image-recognition software, which is a kind of artificial intelligence called computer vision in which you teach a computer to recognize what’s in an image.
In fact, they used some 3.5 billion Instagram photos (from public accounts) and 17,000 hashtags to train a computer vision system that they say is the best one that they have created yet.
Facebook’s CTO, Mike Schroepfer, announced the research today at the company’s developer conference, F8, calling the results “state of the art.”Bad supervision
To understand why this is an interesting approach, it helps to know the difference between “fully supervised” and “weakly supervised” training for artificial intelligence systems. Computer visions systems need to be taught to recognize objects. Show them images that are labeled “bear,” for example, and they can learn to identify images it thinks are bears in new photos. When researchers use photographs that humans have annotated so that an AI system can learn from them, that’s called “fully supervised.” The images are clearly labeled so the software can learn from them.
“That works really well,” says Manohar Paluri, the computer vision lead at Facebook’s Applied Machine Learning group, which carried out the research along with another division at the social network called Facebook AI Research. The only problem with that approach is that the images need to be labeled in the first place, which takes work by humans.
“Going to billions [of labeled images] starts becoming infeasible,” Paluri adds. And in the world of artificial intelligence, the more data that a system can learn from, generally the better it is. And diverse data is important too—if you want to teach an AI system to recognize what a wedding looks like, you don’t want to just show it photographs of weddings from North America, but instead from weddings across the world.
Enter “weakly supervised” learning, in which the data hasn’t been carefully labeled by people for the purpose of teaching an AI. That’s where all those billions of Instagram photos came into play. Those hashtags become a way of crowdsourcing the labeling job. For example, the tag #brownbear, combined with the similar tag #ursusarctos, becomes the label for images of bears. Instagram users became the labelers.
But that kind of data is messy and imperfect, and thus noisy. For example, Paluri points out that someone who takes an Instagram photo near the Eiffel Tower may still give it that tag, but the tower itself isn’t visible. That label still makes sense in the human context, but doesn’t do much good for a simple-minded computer. In another scenario, a birthday party scene that has cake in it might not be labeled #cake, which is also not helpful if you’re trying to train a computer what that dessert looks like.
An example of the kind of image classification Facebook’s image recognition systems could do in the past. Facebook
The new system is more precise: it can recognize an animal as not just a bird, but as an eastern meadowlark. FacebookIt worked anyway
But the end result is that despite the noise in the original data, Paluri says that ultimately, it worked very well. Measured by one benchmark, the system—trained on those billions of Insta pics—was on average about 85 percent accurate. Paluri says that it is the strongest computer vision system that Facebook has yet made.
If you use Facebook, you know that it can recognize faces in the photos you upload and suggest tagging them with (hopefully) the right name. That’s an example of computer vision—in this case, face recognition. But under the hood, Facebook uses computer vision to identify other things besides faces, like visual content (such as pornography) that’s not allowed on the platform.
Paluri says that the new, Instagram-trained technology is already being used to help them flag objectionabe content in photos that shouldn’t be on the site. When it comes to recognizing “objectionable content,” he says, they’ve already noticed “significant improvement in accuracy.”
