Suggested March 2024 Predictive Emoji Not Working On Iphone Or Ipad? 6 Ways To Fix It!

Emojis have become an integral part of our chatting, allowing us to express emotions and add a touch of personality to our messages. And iPhone users enjoy using emojis more thanks to the predictive emoji feature. Whenever you type, your keyboard suggests relevant emojis. Too convenient, right?

But what if the keyboard isn’t showing emoji suggestions? In this blog, I will provide you with troubleshooting tips to fix predictive emoji not working issue on iPhone or iPad.

1. Ensure you are using Apple Keyboard

You must use the Apple English keyboard to get the emoji suggestions. The feature is not available on all third-party keyboards or other language keyboards. To switch to the Apple keyboard:

Open Messages or any other app where you use the keyboard.

If you chat in your native language, like French or Spanish, make sure to choose that default keyboard. If you write Pelota (which means ball in Spanish) on the English keyboard, the predictive emoji will not work.

    2. Toggle off and on Prediction

Sometimes, restarting the predictive emoji feature can resolve temporary issues.

Go to Settings → General → Keyboard.

Wait for some time. Toggle on Predictive once again.

      3. Feed your iPhone with emojis

I noticed that every time I started using a new iPhone or any new app, the keyboard stopped showing emoji suggestions. Furthermore, if you do not use emojis at all, the keyboard will not show emojis.

In essence, your iPhone uses your keyboarding patterns and writing style to train the predictive function and suggest the most relevant ones. Therefore, let your iPhone know that you like to use emojis while typing.

Open an app where predictive emoji isn’t working.

Tap the emoji icon on the keyboard.

        Delete all the emojis.

Force close the app → Reopen the app.

        4. Reset your Keyboard dictionary

Resetting the keyboard dictionary can help fix any corrupt data or miscellaneous glitches that may be causing issues with predictive emoji.

Select Reset Keyboard Dictionary → Enter your passcode.

This action will wipe out your custom glossary. Post that, you will have to train your keyboard following the above-mentioned steps.

          5. Delete and re-add Emoji Keyboard

If none of the above solutions work, you can try resetting the emoji keyboard on your iPhone.

Tap Edit → Select the minus sign (-) beside the Emoji keyboard.

            6. Other general fixes

Apart from the specific steps mentioned above, you can also try these basic fixes if predictive emoji is not working on your iPhone.

Restart your iPhone: The first thing you must do when you notice emoji predictions are missing is restart your iPhone. It will resolve any temporary iOS glitches.

            FAQ

What is Predictive emoji on iPhone?

As you type, Apple’s Predictive Emoji function will provide suggestions for various emoji to enter on the keyboard based on your keyboard patterns and writing style. Also, some common words like Hello, Congratulations, etc., will become orange. Tapping on it will immediately replace your text with the relevant emoji.

            No more missing emoji suggestions!

The predictive emoji feature on your iPhone can be a fun and convenient way to enhance your messages. However, if it stops working, it can be frustrating. By following the troubleshooting tips, I mentioned, you should be able to fix the issue and enjoy using predictive emoji once again.

Snapchat Camera Not Working On Iphone? 10 Ways To Fix It!

Snapchat constantly updates its app with improvements, bug fixes, and new features. So, you may encounter performance difficulties if your app version is out of date. Check the App Store if you’ve stopped automatic app upgrades on your iPhone, and then install the latest version.

You may go through our guide if you are facing problems while updating the app.

            2. Uninstall and reinstall the app

Uninstalling the app will help to remove all the core files that may be faulty. After reinstalling the app, you must log in and check if the issue has been resolved or not.

            3. Clear background apps and relaunch Snapchat

Sometimes you may open too many apps and forget to clear background apps. Though iPhone’s RAM management capabilities are great, still lots of background apps running together may overlap. So, forcing the app to stop will resolve minor software glitches.

Then reopen the Snapchat app to check if the problem is solved.

            4. Check if Snapchat servers are down

It may happen that you are not alone in facing Snapchat camera not working issues. If Snapchat’s servers have downtime, you can’t access its functionalities. So, check updates on Snapchat’s social media accounts to see whether Snapchat is having widespread problems.

            5. Ensure you have a good internet connection

Snapchat suggests switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data on your smartphone to do that. If it helps, the network you’re connected to might be the source of the problem. Contact your mobile service provider or internet service provider to get assistance. Also, turn off Low Power Mode and Low Data Mode on your iPhone.

            6. Check camera permissions on Snapchat

When you first install Snapchat, you need to give it permission to access your phone’s camera. If it’s not appropriate, you may face trouble, like the Snapchat selfie camera or video call camera not working and showing a black screen. Therefore, once again, review the app’s permissions.

Open Settings on your iPhone, then scroll down and tap Snapchat.

Now you need to force-stop Snapchat and relaunch it to check if you can take snaps.

            7. Restart your iPhone

It may happen that your iOS is facing minor glitches, so the camera module is malfunctioning. To resolve this, simply restart your iPhone. If you don’t know how to do it, learn how to restart an iPhone or iPad (All models).

            8. Clear Snapchat’s cache and Lens data

The Snapchat camera app stores a cached version of all your downloaded lenses. So, next time, you don’t need to download it. You may get a blank screen if the Snapchat app is unable to load these stored lenses. Therefore, I suggest removing the current Lens data on your Snapchat.

Open the Snapchat app and tap the profile symbol in the upper left corner.

Now open Settings by tapping the gear symbol at the top right.

Exit the app and relaunch it to see whether the camera problem has been fixed. If it doesn’t work, you may need to delete all cache data. Besides lens data, Snapchat stores memories, stickers, stories, and other information. These cache files may sometimes develop errors and don’t load properly, leading to the app’s malfunction.

Similarly, go to Snapchat’s Settings page.

Scroll down to the bottom and choose Clear Cache. Finally, tap Clear. It will restart the fresh app.

An outdated iOS can affect your user experience, so updating your iPhone resolves the majority of problems. The software will be improved and will work better with other installed applications. If you have still not installed iOS 16, know how to update your iPhone to iOS 16. I suggest turning on the Automatic updates feature, so you don’t miss any new updates.

If none of the above-mentioned methods worked for you, the final move is to contact Snapchat to report your problem.

            Go to Snapchat’s Settings page.

Now scroll down to find My Data and tap it.

At last, enter your Username and email address, and describe your problem.

The Snapchat team will contact you to solve your problem. It may also happen your iPhone’s camera is having issues. In that case, contact Apple Support to get help for your Apple device.

            There you go, Snapchatters!

The camera is crucial in Snapchat. So, if it stops working, use these tips to fix the issue. Read more troubleshooting guides on Snapchat to square out all problems.

Depth Effect Not Working In Ios 16 On Iphone? 8 Ways To Fix It!

            Things you need to know:

The Lock Screen Depth Effect is available for iPhones running iOS 16 and above.

Only iPhones powered by A12 and above can fully use Depth Effect.

Some Lock Screen widgets may prevent the Depth Effect from working.

Currently, the iPhone Lock Screen Depth Effect works only on .JPG images.

iOS 16 is here, and the most exciting part is the plethora of Lock Screen customizations. Seeing everyone sharing their Lock Screens with the magic of Depth Effect around, you might have tried to check it out on your iPhone but ended up with no such effects. So what might be the reason? Let’s find out!

8 Ways to fix iOS 16 depth effect not working on iPhone Lock Screen.

            1. Make sure your iPhone supports the Lock Screen Depth Effect

Firstly, you need to ensure that your iPhone runs on iOS 16 or later. If not, you have to update your iPhone to the latest iOS version. But before asking why my iPhone doesn’t support wallpaper Depth Effect despite being on the latest iOS version, you need to also make sure if your iPhone is powered by A12 Bionic or above.

If that’s too technical for you, just check if your iPhone is on the following list:

iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max

iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, and SE (gen 2)

iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max

iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, and SE (gen 3)

iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max.

Even after satisfying these conditions, if your iPhone can’t show wallpapers with Depth Effect, try the below-mentioned fixes.

            2. Check if you have enabled Depth Effect on your iPhone

While Depth Effect is enabled by default, it is good to ensure that if it is turned on.

Unlock your iPhone using Touch ID or Face ID, and stay on the Lock Screen

Tap Customize → select three dots on the bottom right corner.

Note: If the iOS 16 Depth Effect option is greyed out, then you might be using an unsupported image or an image without a clear subject. Don’t worry! The solution for this is mentioned in the subsequent sections.

            3. Remove Lock Screen widgets in iOS 16

Some iOS 16 Lock Screen widgets might be the villain preventing you from enjoying your iPhone Lock Screen with the Depth Effect. So the best thing to do is to remove them and see if Depth Effect comes back for Lock Screen wallpapers:

Unlock your device and stay on the Lock Screen.

            Tap Customize.

Now, tap a widget in your widget area.

It’s best to remove all the widgets and confirm if Depth Effect works. Once you confirm it’s working, you can add each widget and see which is causing the issue.

Note: To make sure Depth Effect works, use smaller widgets and reposition your wallpaper according to it.

            4. Ensure you’re using a supported wallpaper

The Depth Effect can only be applied to images with an identifiable subject. This could be a person, animal, building, or any subject that can stand out from the rest of the image.

If your wallpaper has a lot of subjects, then the Depth Effect will struggle to identify and isolate one. The Depth Effect doesn’t work on abstract images, either.

You can use the stock wallpapers or those taken in Portrait mode. Since finding the right wallpaper for iPhone Lock Screen is a task, we have come up with cool wallpapers supporting Depth Effect.

            5. Ensure you’re using a .JPG

Yes, this might be something new for you. But currently, iOS 16 Lock Screen Depth Effect only works on images in .JPG format. So, before using an image as your Lock Screen wallpaper, check its format. And If it’s not in .JPG format, you can convert it using your iPhone or with the help of other third-party apps.

            6. Reposition your wallpaper on iPhone

In most cases, the Depth Effect may not work because of improperly positioned wallpapers. Sometimes it could be because your subject covers most of the widget and clock area, thus preventing the Depth Effect from working.

You can preview the Depth Effect in real-time before applying the wallpaper. If you have already applied it, here’s how you can reposition it:

Unlock your iPhone and stay on the Lock Screen.

            Tap Customize.

Select the wallpaper and then adjust it by pinching it in and out next to the widget area or clock area to see if the Depth Effect works.

Now reposition the wallpaper as required while keeping an eye on the preview.

            Tap Done.

            7. Create a new Lock Screen in iOS 16

Since all these things done are not helping, how about creating a new Lock Screen and checking if Depth Effect works? This time, make sure to use a supported image that meets all the criteria I’ve mentioned above.

            8. Hard reset iPhone

If none of these methods are helping, the last resort is resetting your iPhone. If that also doesn’t help, you need to hard reset your iPhone.

Bonus – How to use the Depth Effect on unsupported iPhones

On iPhone X, if you use wallpapers from Collection and Weather & Astronomy, you can see the Depth Effect in action. While you cannot enjoy the complete potential of this feature on the iPhone X, it’s better than having nothing.

Note: If you’re iPhone still won’t support Depth Effect on the Lock Screen, then I think it’s time to upgrade your iPhone.

Best Tips To Fix Freeform Not Working On Iphone And Ipad

For the folks who never get enough of drawing and sketching, the Freeform app seems to be a complete package. What’s more, the all-new app from Apple also offers a neat way to jot down ideas, scan documents, and collaborate with friends on projects.

Despite being feature-rich, the app sports a clean user interface and is incredibly easy to use. Unfortunately, some iPhone users are having issues with the Freeform app as it does not work as expected. But there is no need to panic as I have found some workable tips to fix Freeform not working on iPhone and iPad.

Best Tips and Tricks to Fix Freeform Not Working on iPhone and iPad

To get going, let’s first talk about the obstacles that are hindering Freeform from working properly!

So, Why is Freeform Ill-Functioning on My iPhone or iPad?

According to the complaints, there are three major issues that users are facing:

            App crashing

            Random freezing

Inability to share a Freeform project with anyone

There is nothing new about apps crashing or freezing on iPhone. Thus, there is nothing to worry about it. As for the inability to enable collaboration, it requires a very simple fix which I will talk about later.

Having checked each one of the possible culprits, I have discussed solutions that are likely to resolve the problem.

            1. Restart Your iPhone

Many a time, you can fix an app-related issue by just rebooting the device. Hence, I would recommend you kickstart troubleshooting with this simple but very effective solution.

            2. Force Quit the Freeform App

If the Freeform app automatically crashes out at launch or while you are using it, force quit the app. Not to mention, it can also come in handy if the Freeform app is freezing repeatedly and does not respond to touch.

On iPhone and iPad without the home button: Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen and make sure to hold along the middle of the screen to bring up the app switcher. Then, swipe up on the Freeform app card to force kill the app.

On iPhone and iPad with the home button: You need to double-press the home button to reveal the app switcher. Next, just swipe up on the app card to force quit the Freeform app.

            3. Hard Reset Your iPhone

Another reliable solution that you should try to fix the Freeform app not working issue is to hard reset your iPhone. As we all know how impressive it is in terms of resolving common problems, it would be better to give it a chance as well.

To get it done, press and quickly release the volume-up button on your device. After that, press and quickly release the volume down button.

Then, hold down the side/top button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

            4. Unable to Share Freeform Project with Anyone? Be Sure You Have Turned on iCloud

Can’t share any Freeform board with others for collaboration? Don’t worry! Note that you must enable iCloud for the Freeform app to be able to share any projects with others for collaboration. Notably, it’s not enabled by default.

After that, tap on iCloud and choose Show All.

Next, turn on the switch for Freeform and then tap on Merge to merge all the existing local Freeform.

Next up, launch the Freeform app and go to the All Boards section.

Then, select the board you want to share and then hit the Share icon.

Up next, choose the desired medium for sharing the invitation. The collaboration will kickstart as soon as your friend accepts your invitation.

No solution as yet? Now, I suspect a hidden software bug could be preventing the Freeform app from working problem. In this situation, updating the software is always the right choice.

Then, wait for a few seconds to let the device check for updates. After that, download and install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS as usual.

I would recommend you connect the device to a power source to ensure the software update does not come to a halt due to the low battery.

            Delete and Reinstall Freeform

If the Freeform app continues to misbehave, delete and reinstall the app. At times, all you need to do to take control of a problematic app is to just delete and reinstall it.

Just touch and hold the Freeform app icon and choose Remove App in the popup menu.

After that, tap on Delete App and confirm.

Next, launch the App Store and search for Freeform. After that, download and install the app as usual.

Fixed Freeform App Not Working on iPhone and iPad

So, that concludes this detailed troubleshooting guide for fixing the problematic Freeform app. I know one of the above tips has done the trick for you and now you have started to sketch your imagination. But before you get too deep with your work, make sure to share your invaluable feedback with us and also let us know the tip that has enabled you to resolve the app.

Camera Not Working Or Available On Mac? Here’s How To Fix It

Don’t panic if your Mac’s camera suddenly stops working during a video call or if you see a “No camera connected” or “No camera available” error when you launch an app. Camera issues on the Mac are usually minor, and their solutions can be as simple as just shutting down and powering up your computer. If you’re having trouble with the Mac camera not working and using the built-in camera, try one of these quick fixes to get it working again.

Is Another App Using the Camera?

One thing that’s quite easy to forget is that the camera can usually only be used by one app or program on your Mac at any given time. Check to see whether camera-based apps like Skype, FaceTime, Photo Booth, or another app is running either in the foreground or background and close any that you’re not using at that moment.

You can check the Activity Monitor (Command + Space, type “activity monitor”) to see whether one of those apps is running in the background. If it is, close it straight from the Activity Monitor.

            Force Quit VDCAssistant and AppleCameraAssistant

If you need to use your camera right away or can’t dedicate a lot of time to troubleshooting the issue, try restarting camera-related processes like “VDCAssistant” and “AppleCameraAssistant” in the Terminal app. These are programs that run in the background whenever you use your Mac’s built-in camera. Complications with these processes can affect any number of applications that can access the camera, like FaceTime, iMovie, Messages, and Skype.

To force quit VDCAssistant and AppleCameraAssistant:

            1. Close any application that has access to your camera.

            3. Type:

            sudo

            killall

            VDCAssistant

and press Enter. If prompted, type in your password and press Enter.

            4. Type:

            sudo

            killall

            AppleCameraAssistant

            and press Enter.

Once you’ve stopped both processes, launch an application that uses the built-in camera and see if the camera not working problem is resolved.

            Adjust Your Camera Settings

There isn’t a camera section in System Preferences, so you can’t change the camera settings directly. However, most apps that use the built-in camera have adjustable camera settings. FaceTime and Skype let you specify which camera you want to use for video calls, so make sure the built-in camera is selected.

To adjust your camera settings in app:

            1. Open the app in question. In this instance, we are using Skype.

            3. In your settings, you will be able to choose the camera you want to use. Select your built-in camera, which you’ll see titled as “FaceTime HD Camera” or something similar.

            Reboot Your Computer

Another quick way to solve camera not working problems is to reboot your Mac. Be sure to completely shut down your Mac instead of choosing the Restart option.

Restarting your computer will close your session and temporarily turn off your Mac but leave the RAM untouched. On the other hand, shutting down your Mac will clear the RAM and end all processes, including ones that might be interfering with your camera.

            Update Your Software

If your Mac’s camera isn’t working with a specific photo-editing or video-conferencing app, it may be incompatible with that application. For example, you can’t make video calls using the Skype app if you or the person you’re contacting has an outdated version of Skype. If you want to make video calls, both parties need to update the app to the latest version.

To update an app on your Mac:

            1. Open the app on your computer.

            3. If you need to update your app, you’ll see an option to do so in the next screen. Tap on whichever option allows you to update your app and enter your password if necessary.

The same philosophy applies to your operating system. If you’re having camera problems, see if there’s a security update available for your Mac. Apple includes important bug fixes in each build release, so it’s important to update your software to the latest available version. Chances are they’ve identified your camera bug and resolved it in the most recent update.

To update your Mac’s operating system software, go to the Apple logo in the top left, then follow these steps:

            1. Select “System Preferences … ”

            2. Choose “Software Update.”

Once your computer has updated, try using your camera again to see if you’ve fixed the problem. If you haven’t, consider restarting your Mac so the changes can take effect.

Give Apps Permission to Use Your Camera

In some cases, you might find that your camera isn’t available because you haven’t given the app permission to use it. If you suspect that this is the case, you’ll need to go into your Mac’s settings and change this.

To give apps permission to use your camera:

            2. Select “System Preferences … “

            3. In your Mac’s System Preferences, go to “Security & Privacy.”

            4. Select “Camera” from the list of options on the left side of your screen.

            6. Tick the app you want to give permission to use your camera.

Frequently Asked Questions 1. How do I take a photo with my Mac camera?

To take a photo with your Mac camera, you’ll need to open the Photo Booth app. You can do this by typing “photo booth” in the search bar.

            2. Can I adjust the camera on my Mac?

To watch Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney Plus, and other streaming services with family or friends living far away, you can use Teleparty.

Users love functions like automatic syncing and group chat, but this browser extension occasionally performs poorly, and they end up with the HBO Max Teleparty not working issue.

In this article, we’ll outline five solutions for resolving this problem so you can watch movies online with friends or family.

How to use HBO Teleparty correctly?

You should first make sure you are correctly utilizing the Teleparty plugin. You can find a step-by-step tutorial for using Teleparty on HBO Max below.

Let’s now look more closely at some steps for fixing Teleparty on your device.

How do I fix HBO Max Teleparty not working? 1. Check if the Streaming service is down

Ensure the streaming service you’re attempting to access is accessible before blaming Teleparty. Streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max could occasionally experience outages.

            2. Try a different web browser

Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome both support Teleparty. It’s time to switch web browsers to resolve the problem if none of those mentioned procedures were successful for you.

Download and install Microsoft Edge if you have been using Teleparty on Google Chrome and vice versa.

Since Microsoft Edge is a Chromium-based browser, it too supports the Teleparty extension. Install it by going to the Microsoft Edge web store.

Another great option you can try is Opera Browser. It supports Teleparty and has amazing useful features, including an Ad blocker to help you browse without distractions and load websites faster.

It also has a Video pop-out feature with which you can pop out online videos so they can stream on top of webpages as you browse freely.

            Opera

Enjoy your browsing experience without interruption and choose to use Opera.

            3. Reinstall Teleparty on your browser

One of the best ways to resolve any problems with browser extensions is to uninstall and reinstall the plugin.

            4. Relaunch the web browser

By restarting your web browser, you can eliminate a temporary software bug that can cause problems with Teleparty. Therefore, we recommend you close and then reopen the web browser.

            5. Clear browser cache

Although the cache helps with speed and efficiency, it can occasionally lead to problems and use up a lot of storage on the device. You can easily fix the problem by clearing the browser’s cache.

How to reset the Teleparty extension for HBO Max?

The first thing to do if Teleparty isn’t working is to go to the Extensions page of your browser and select Teleparty from the list.

Nothing can compare to the thrill of watching your favorite shows with your friends. The fixes mentioned above would resolve your issue because they are all user-tested solutions.

It’s time to contact the Teleparty support team if, despite following all the troubleshooting steps listed above, you can still not get Teleparty to function.

Simply send an email to [email protected]. Describe your problem and attach screenshots (if any). Hopefully, the support team can assist you in finding a solution.
