Between tablets, apps, phones and, of course, “old school” books, there is no shortage of ways for you to read every day. When people hear the name “Kindle,” they are bound to think of Amazon’s popular e-ink reading devices. The truth is Kindle means a variety of devices, including Kindle Cloud Reader. Let’s take a look at it and see if it’s the best way for you to read.

What Is Kindle Cloud Reader?

According to Amazon, Kindle Cloud Reader is something of a service that “lets you read your Kindle books on your web browser.” As a browser-based solution for reading, it has worked across desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets for years. Between ebooks, comics and graphic novels, as well as school or personal reading, it’s a fantastic way to read. The good thing is it contains almost all of the feature sets available on Kindle devices. This includes features like adjusting the font size, highlighting, setting margins and more.

How to Access Kindle Cloud Reader

Offline reading is a really handy function for those with a spotty Internet connection. On the Cloud Reader page, you will see the book’s title, coverage and author’s name displayed in your library. The list is organized by your most recently opened or read titles, but you can also sort by author or title as well. The books are organized in a grid by default, but you can switch to a listview, too.

Add Books to Kindle Cloud Reader

Adding books to your Cloud Reader library could not be any easier. In fact, for anyone already familiar with purchasing eBooks from Amazon, this whole process should be very familiar.

2. Find a book you would like to purchase. You can scroll through Amazon’s suggestions for you based on your previous history or wish list. Alternatively, you can search and find any book you want.

3. When you are ready to purchase, make sure “Kindle” is selected as the book version you want to purchase. You should also make sure that the “Deliver to” option underneath the purchase button shows the option “[Your name’s] Kindle Cloud Reader” so that it gets directly delivered.

4. Add the book to your cart and complete your purchase. Once the purchase is complete, the book should almost instantaneously appear in your Cloud Reader.

Kindle Cloud Reader Benefits

If you’re determining whether the Kindle Cloud Reader is for you, it’s important to know some of the benefits. While few of these are exclusive to other Kindle apps, they do show that the Cloud Reader app is hardly limited in its functionality.

Kindle Cloud Reader Troubleshooting

As Kindle Cloud Reader is essentially a web app, it’s at the mercy of all those things like cookies, caching and other things inherent to the browser experience. Problems with the Cloud Reader may manifest as simply not loading, or you may get the “Error Opening Content” message.

If you have problems, you should try these solutions.

1. Clear your browsing data (especially cookies and cache)

These are just two examples, but know the the Cloud Reader works on all browsers, whether mobile or desktop. You just need to find how to clear your browsing data, which should be in the browser’s settings.

3. Disable dark mode in your browser

Dark mode is still something of a nascent feature on many browsers, and as such, it doesn’t always work perfectly. Man Kindle Cloud Reader users reported that disabling dark mode fixed their problems.

4. Update your browser to the latest version

The most recent versions of browsers tend to be the most stable, so make sure you’re on the latest version.

Is Kindle Cloud Reader for You?

The million-dollar question is whether Kindle Cloud Reader is right for you. Reading on a big monitor may not be as comfortable as doing so on a small tablet or phone. Cloud Reader is probably best for anyone who wants the largest display while reading.

What Is WordPress And Should You Use It?

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority

WordPress is used to run 43% of all websites on the internet. It is deployed by huge international entities such as Microsoft, Sony Music, PlayStation, Time Magazine, CNN, Disney, the White House, and many more. It is basically the engine that fuels a lot of the internet and keeps it ticking along. But what is WordPress exactly? How does it work, and should you use it for your website?

WordPress features

Now that we have established what WordPress is, let’s now look at the features which make it the go-to content management system for a large chunk of the internet. There are a lot of worthy features, so we can’t possibly cover each one. Instead, here are the biggest and the best features which make WordPress stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Plugins for every conceivable user need

Once you have the theme up, the next step is to start adding functionality to your site. This functionality comes in the form of plugins, of which there are a huge number of free ones and an even bigger number of paid ones.

Saying that, though, resist the urge to install too many plugins. The more you install, the more your site will slow down when someone visits it. This will, in turn, affect your Google search ranking, which these days heavily relies on page speed. I would say that, if you start going over 15 plugins, you should start seriously reviewing them to see if you can uninstall any. If you get to 20, then you really need to stop and be a bit more selective.

Optimized URLs

If you want to rank high in search results, there are many things you need to remember. But one very important one is having an optimized URL structure. A URL that is descriptive, short, and indexable to Google.

In WordPress, you can specify which elements go into your links, as well as what structure you want to have.

Essential WordPress plugins

After 15 years or so of using WordPress, I have developed a core list of the essential plugins that go on each of my sites. Here they are.

Everybody wants to be on page one of Google. Otherwise, what’s the point? The best way to get there is to use a dedicated plugin that will tell you what you’re doing right and wrong SEO-wise on your site. The industry leader, by far, is Yoast.

The free version is more than enough for casual users, but if you’re a business, you should pay the $99 a year to upgrade to the premium plugin. They also have other premium plugins for WooCommerce shops, local businesses, video SEO, and getting into Google News.

Broken Link Checker

Links break all the time, as sites take down pages or change the URL of pages. Not everyone has the presence of mind to set up an automatic redirect to the new link. So if you link to a page, and that link suddenly disappears, your visitor will end up looking at the dreaded 404 page not found message. Broken links can also negatively affect your search rankings.

Broken Link Checker sits on your WordPress dashboard and flags any links it believes to be broken. You also get an email notifying you. You can then check the link, and if it is indeed broken, the plugin can remove the link for you.

Using WordPress on a local computer

If you want to test any WordPress themes, plugins, or other tweaks, but don’t want to do it on a live site, then the best option is to make a local installation on your computer. The best software app for this is definitely Local. It sets up a site and opens it in your browser. When you close down the site, it disappears again.

This is invaluable if you are not sure about a plugin and want to test it first before putting it on a live site. Or if you want to mess around with different themes.

Should you use WordPress?

FAQs is the free version that you must download and install onto your own web server. chúng tôi is the version hosted by WordPress, which you can pay for. is installed with a default free theme, and every year, they bring out a new default free theme. You can also search the WordPress directory and the internet for other free themes. You’re spoilt for choice, but the quality greatly varies.

What Is& Should You Disable It?

What is chúng tôi & Should You Disable it? Disabling it isn’t recommeded for those who use pen-enabled devices

Although chúng tôi is a legitimate Windows file, it may cause a number of issues.

Terminating it with Task Manager won’t do as Windows automatically restores it in a reboot.

To disable it, you can use the Local Group Policy Editor or Command Prompt.

To fix Windows PC system issues, you will need a dedicated tool

Fortect is a tool that does not simply cleans up your PC, but has a repository with several millions of Windows System files stored in their initial version. When your PC encounters a problem, Fortect will fix it for you, by replacing bad files with fresh versions. To fix your current PC issue, here are the steps you need to take:

Download Fortect and install it on your PC.

Start the tool’s scanning process to look for corrupt files that are the source of your problem

Fortect has been downloaded by

readers this month.

Many users have reported that the chúng tôi process has caused problems for their OS, including consuming high memory. This begs the question of whether it’s safe to remove it because it’s a Windows component.

If you’ve also run into the same issue, keep reading for some effective solutions.

What does chúng tôi do?

The chúng tôi system file is an abbreviation for Windows Ink Services Platform Tablet Input Subsystem. It’s part of the Windows Ink Workplace, the service enabling handwriting on office and note-taking software.

The executable gets automatically installed along with any Microsoft Office, Adobe, or Journal viewer software.

Is chúng tôi safe?

The chúng tôi file is a legitimate Windows one. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t damage your computer. The problem with the file is that it remains active in the background even when no touch screen or pen input is available or used by the system.

This consumes many system resources, slows your CPU, and can even harm other software. So, while it might be safe to stay, as it’s a legitimate file, do you even need it on your PC?

Disabling it isn’t recommended for most users, especially touch screens and pen-enabled devices. The executable’s vital for the optimal performance and functionality of note-taking, drawing, or design apps.

However, if you do not own such a device or do not intend to use any pen input component, disabling the process might free up some valuable system resources and positively impact your PC performance.

You can terminate the chúng tôi process from Task Manager, but this is just a temporary solution. Windows is set to automatically restore it every time you reopen an app that needs it or reboot your computer.

Scroll down below for some effective solutions to ensure that chúng tôi remains disabled.

Keep in mind that disabling it may render certain features of apps, such as Microsoft Office, Snipping Tool, and Adobe, unusable.

How can I stop wisptis.exe? 1. Disable the process from auto-start using Command Prompt 2. Disable the App-V client

Keep in mind that if disabling the App-V client harms your computing experience, you can re-enable it by following the steps above, but this time choosing Automatic under Startup type, followed by another restart.

3. Use the Local Group Policy Editor

So that’s how you disable the chúng tôi process. Additionally, you may disable the entire Windows Ink Workplace feature.

What Is Wpa3 Security, And When Can You Use It?

The Wi-Fi Alliance has started to certify products that can use WPA3 along with major manufacturers like Qualcomm and Cisco, who are ready for the switch with new chips and support for existing products.

WPA stands for Wireless Protected Access. It is essentially to the security standard that governs the protocol a router and device use to communicate. As complicated as that sounds, it is the method by which they “handshake” to securely connect. WPA2 introduced strong AES encryption which is harder to crack. This means the Wi-Fi access point, like a router and your device, phone or laptop can communicate without being easily snooped on.

The WPA2 standard was introduced in 2004, and as technology has progressed, so must security.

WEP: Original IEEE 802.11 standard ratified in 1999

WPA: draft IEEE 802.11 standard available since 2003

WPA2: full IEEE 802.11i standard available in 2004

WPA3: Available in January 2023

WPA3 Features

The main benefits of WPA3 over older standards roughly divide into three key areas as follows.

Privacy over public Wi-Fi networks has become a problem that cannot be ignored. Free, open Wi-Fi such as coffee shops and airports are inherently insecure. Traffic can be snooped on easily. Anything that is passed through that network via HTTP, but not HTTPS, can be observed with freely available tools. This is, of course, illegal, but criminals know that the chances of being caught are slim in that kind of environment.

WPA3 introduces data encryption that will be individual. So, if I connect to the Wi-Fi at my local coffee shop, and you do also, we have our own level of encryption that will be applied, even if we didn’t verify with a password. That’s not to say it is an “auto encryption,” per se, but it will mean that less tech-savvy users have a level of protection they may not otherwise be able to apply.

Brute Force

Following on from the concept of individual encryption, the “handshake” discussed above will be stronger. Even users who use a weak password will benefit from the new standard. Dictionary attacks will no longer work, and while these standards have existed for a while, they are now mandatory for WPA3 device certification.

Easier Connection

Devices like Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home give a range of options for users to enjoy enhanced services. An issue is that these smart devices often have no display which makes their connection cumbersome. WPA3 promises to make this easier, although the exact details are still to be finalised. It is similar to the WPS standard which allows a single push button to pair devices.

When Will WPA3 Be Released?

As of this post, it should be available now.

WPA3-certified devices are being released, and older devices are receiving firmware updates.

The biggest problem is the glacial-like speed with which companies and service providers introduce the new standard. Realistically, it will take perhaps a few years or more before users see wide adoption that allows both routers and devices to communicate without issue.

There is also the factor of user education so that WPA3 becomes common, just as WPA2 replaced WEP. Manufacturers also need to make it clear what devices support what standard.

In the short term, all technology will be subject to bugs and flaws. Until these are patched and WPA3 becomes widespread, public Wi-Fi users, and even home users, can elect to protect themselves with a VPN to provide an additional layer between their data and prying eyes.

What Is Resume Fraud, And How Can You Avoid It?

The top five things people lie about on their resume are job experience, job duties, employment dates, skills and salary.

How does resume fraud impact your business?

Applicants lying about their professional history and skill sets can have a significant impact on your business. It’s estimated resume fraud costs employers $600 billion annually. New hires without the specialized skills or experience they claim to have can cause a lot of problems for your organization, including reduced productivity and performance.

Without the proper knowledge required for the job, these new employees can make more mistakes, costing you time and money on completing projects the right way. This can result in other employees needing to pick up the slack, train the new team member or correct mistakes – all of which can lead to employee burnout and low morale.

If an employee lies on their resume and isn’t qualified for the job you hired them to do, it can go one of two ways: You train them or you fire them. Both options cost you time and resources.

How can small businesses combat resume fraud?

It’s undoubtedly a daunting task to check up on references and confirm the accuracy of employee applications. But given the statistics, you shouldn’t take risks on this. The frequency and high-tech complexities surrounding occupational fraud these days make it more important than ever to be confident in exactly who you’re hiring. [Learn how to create a successful hiring process.]

Consider these tips for avoiding any blunders when screening applicants:

Use skills testing. Conduct skills testing as part of the interview process. For example, if you’re seeking a candidate for a graphic design position, have them complete a sample graphic design project for you. This is a great way to see if someone can complete the tasks as well as they say they can. You can offer to compensate them for their work. Think of it as an investment in improving your workforce.

Conduct a formal background check. Conduct civil record and criminal background checks where appropriate. This is a must for positions of trust and safety-sensitive jobs, although many other employers have grown accustomed to using background check services as well. When conducting a background check, be sure to go through a highly rated background check company.

Question the applicant about their previous employment in detail. When verifying employment history, ask the applicant about their previous responsibilities in detail. This can help you gauge whether they know what they’re talking about. It can also be helpful to ask about the months in which they began and ended working for a given employer. A date range of “2004-2005” may seem like two years of employment, when in truth, it could be just two months.

Research their references. Research the applicant’s references to ensure they are who they claim to be. In the digital era, nearly everyone has some form of online presence you can find. When you contact references, ask about the employee’s time with the company, including duration of employment, responsibilities, and strengths and weaknesses.

Contact previous employers. Directly contact previous employers for verification. Don’t trust any “800” numbers, as they can be fake references. Always independently verify phone numbers.

Verify education with institutions directly. While verifying education and training, confirm the certifications as well as attendance directly with the institution. In addition, check to make sure the institution is accredited and not just a degree mill. Also verify licenses with the state agencies that issued them.

Check social media for consistency. Turn to social media platforms, like LinkedIn, to verify resume consistency. Does the applicant list the same colleges and companies? Are the dates and titles the same? It can be hard for people to keep their lies straight across the board.

You may also want to review the applicant’s social media to assess whether they’d be a cultural fit for your organization.

If you or your HR department doesn’t have the time or experience to thoroughly check all aspects of the applicant’s resume, you should not forgo the verification entirely. Instead, enlist the assistance of an employment screening company. Employment screening companies have resume fact-checking experience and are up to date on all of the latest trends in resume fraud. You can outsource as much or as little of the applicant screening process to a third-party background check provider as you want in order to be confident that you have done your due diligence before hiring a candidate.

Take some time to know who you’re hiring. If you don’t do your homework, you could end up paying a hefty price.
